Surgery to reattach the head of a 12-year-old Arab boy named Suleiman Hassan has successfully been performed by Israeli doctors. The boy was hit by a car while riding his bicycle. The collision caused his head to be internally decapitated, which means the ligaments at the rear base of his skull were severely damaged, leaving it disconnected from the top vertebrae of his spine. After the incident, he was immediately airlifted to Hadassah Medical Center for treatment. There, the medical team performed an emergency procedure, utilizing innovative technology and new plates and fixations to reconnect his head to his spine. Ultimately, the patient's life was saved.
