Loss of vision after sinus operation at Max Hospital: UP Medical Council to take call on medical negligence

The district-level panel of doctors at Noida has recently recommended referring a case of a 17-year-old boy, who lost his vision in one eye after a sinus operation at Max Hospital in Vaishali, to the Medical Council of Uttar Pradesh.
It has been decided by the panel to transfer the matter to the State Council as the panel could not give any conclusive findings on the matter. Informing about the panel's recommendation, the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Ghaziabad said that the reason for such a decision is that the case belongs to "super-specialty" and therefore it should be referred accordingly.
