Over the past few weeks, health experts are tracking three variants of COVID 19. The FL 1.5.1 variant, colloquially named "Fornax" by Gregory, has taken a significant foothold, constituting approximately 13.3% of infections in the United States, according to estimates from the CDC. In just a week's time, FL 1.5.1 has nearly doubled its prevalence, having previously accounted for around 7.1% of circulating variants.
