Taking note of the fact that proper care and attention was lacking, the Telangana State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission recently directed the Apollo Hospital, Jubilee Hills to pay Rs 5 lakh as compensation to the family of a patient, who died within 20 hours of her knee replacement surgery.
