RG Kar Medical College MBBS student found dead at home

Ivy Prasad, a second-year medical student from RG Kar Medical College in Kolkata, was found dead at her home in the ESI Hospital Quarters in Kamarhati, North 24 Parganas. Her mother, a doctor at the local ESI hospital, discovered her body after multiple attempts to reach her went unanswered. The police have registered a case of unnatural death and have launched an investigation. A post-mortem has been completed, and authorities are awaiting the report to determine the exact cause of death.
Police sources indicate that Ivy Prasad was found hanging in her room. Although efforts were made to save her, she was pronounced dead at the hospital. No suicide note was discovered at the scene, leaving questions unanswered. Authorities are looking into the possibility of depression, as suggested by early reports.
