Just like medical graduates, dental graduates will also be required to appear in the 'National Exit Test (Dental)' to be granted a licence to practice dentistry, stated the National Dental Commission Bill, 2023 that was introduced in the Parliament on July 24, 2023.
Apart from getting enrolled in the State and National Register, the NExT (Dental) examination shall also be the basis for admission to the postgraduate dental education in dental institutions, mentioned the Bill.
