Supreme Court Pulls Up Three Delhi Hospitals Over Failure to Provide Emergency Treatment
Taking suo motu cognisance of a case involving an alleged brutal attack on a patient by her husband, the Supreme Court of India on Monday ordered an investigation into allegations that three hospitals- Kailash Hospital, Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital and RK Hospital refused to provide her emergency treatment.
During the hearing, the Apex Court was informed that the woman was stabbed multiple times by her husband, causing serious injuries to vital parts of her body. She was in a critical condition when she was taken to nearby hospitals. However, three hospitals allegedly refused to admit her, reportedly citing the severity of her injuries.
