Union Health Budget 2023: Central Govt shifts its focus to nursing college

After setting up several medical colleges under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme, the Central Government has now shifted its focus in setting new nursing colleges across the country and this was reflected in the Union Budget 2023, presented by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

"157 new nursing colleges will be established in co-location with the existing 157 medical colleges established since 2014," the Finance Minister announced in the Parliament today.
