Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak announced on Monday that orders have been issued for the termination of 26 medical officers across various districts due to unauthorized absences and negligence in their duties. This decisive action reflects the state government's commitment to ensuring accountability and maintaining high standards of healthcare services.
The process for their dismissal has been started at the government level, Pathak, who is also the Minister for Health, Medical and Family Welfare, said in a series of online posts. Pathak said he has assigned the responsibility to the principal secretary (health) to seek clarification from the joint director of the Directorate General of Health. Apart from this, instructions have also been given to stop the salary increment of several medical officers and give them censure entries, reports PTI.
