Coffee is a favorite beverage for most of the world's population, consumed widely all over the globe. Coffee containing various concentration of caffeine has provrn to be beneficial on health aspects. 

Both exercise and a ketogenic diet (low-carbohydrate) favor a decrease in glycogen and increase ammonemia, which can impair body function. Caffeine supplementation has been used regularly to improve exercise performance. Here, xanthine effect was tested for ammonemia in cyclists who were put on a ketogenic diet and exercised longer.

A study in the Nutrition journal aimed at determining the relationship between caffeine intake and ketogenic (low-carbohydrate) exercise allows for a decrease in glycogen and ammonemia, which can impair body function The caffeine group showed a significant decrease (up to 25% ) in blood ammonia 60, 90, and 120 minutes after the start of exercise compared with the placebo group. The researchers concluded that caffeine consumption may reduce the amount of ammonemia that occurs during exercise.
