Consumption of prunes help protect against bone loss
A prune is a dried plum, most commonly from the European plum (Prunus domestica), its benefits are well known. Prunes are popularly consumed fruits, The sorbitol content of dietary fiber likely provides the laxative effect associated with consuming prunes and many other beneficial effects.
Published in the journal Advances in Nutrition study says potential mechanism for the effects of prunes triggering a change in the gut microbiome that lowers inflammation in the colon it's a very good practice helping bone health on consumption.
In a research review, the researchers found that prunes can help prevent or delay bone loss in postmenopausal women, possibly due to their ability to reduce inflammation and oxidative stress, both of which contribute to bone loss.
