AIIMS Jodhpur doctors remove 9 kidney tumors using robotic surgery

Doctors at AIIMS-Jodhpur have removed 9 tumours from one kidney of a patient using robotic surgery. The patient is suffering from a rare inheritable disease called VHL caused by the development of cysts in the kidneys, pancreas, and genital tract.
The procedure, which lasted for 31 minutes, is the first of its kind carried out at AIIMS for kidney, after some very complex robotic surgeries for many other diseases
