In a horrifying incident, a software engineer allegedly killed a third-year MBBS student of a private medical college in Vijaywada by slitting her throat with a surgical knife and then attempted suicide after she refused to marry him.

The incident took place in Takkellapadu in Krishna, Andhra Pradesh on December 5.
