Apollo Hospitals Cardiologist Dr PC Rath elected as President of Cardiological Society of India

Dr P C Rath, an eminent cardiologist from Hyderabad, who pioneered many percutaneous cardiac interventions in the country like complex coronary angioplasty and stenting, Robotic angioplasty and Percutaneous Valve treatment procedures (TAVI), was formally elected, and installed as the President of the prestigious Cardiological Society of India for the year 2023-24, in the annual meeting held at Chennai. Dr. P C Rath is currently a Senior Consultant Cardiologist and Head of the Department of Cardiology at Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad.

Cardiological Society of India is a national body of Cardiologists of India and Indian Cardiologists, settled abroad. It consists of more than 5000 members. Cardiological Society of India was formed under the stewardship of late Bharat Ratna Dr. Vidhan Shankar Roy, the first Chief Minister of West Bengal in Independent India; in 1948 at Kolkata. He served as the first President of CSI.
