The National Eligibility Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2025 aspirants are still awaiting the announcement regarding the commencement of counselling for the All India Quota (AIQ) seats. Even though the PG medical entrance exam was conducted more than two months ago and the results were released on August 19, 2025, there is still no word from the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) regarding the commencement of the AIQ counselling.

The Times of India has reported that the MCC, which is in charge of conducting the AIQ counselling, has informed the States that the regulatory authority, the National Medical Commission (NMC), has asked the committee to put the process on hold.
