Kendrapara: In an instance of medical negligence, doctors allegedly sliced the intestine of a woman who was admitted for sterilization at a government run hospital in Kendrapara district.

Jharana Mallick (27), spouse of a daily wager Ramesh Mallick of village Kansar in the district, is battling for life at the intensive care unit of a hospital in Cuttack after doctors wrongly operated her large intestine instead of her fallopian tube during tubectomy surgery, officials said.
