MERS claims one more life in Saudi Arabia

Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) virus has claimed one more life in Saudi Arabia taking the toll up to 486 now. The virus has been again spreading its tentacles in the last two weeks, however, the first case was reported in 2012. MERS, also known as corona virus, causes symptoms similar to cold in individuals it infects, as reported by IANS.

Saudi Arabia registered one death due to the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) virus and six new cases of infection, according to a statement issued by the Saudi health ministry.

The death and new cases recorded on Friday were from the capital which has been witnessing a rise in the spread of the virus in the last two weeks, Xinhua reported.
