Minor girl rape: OHRC asks for medical report today
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Human Rights Commission asked the superintendent of Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College and Hospital to personally appear before it on November 10 with the medical examination report of a minor girl, who was allegedly gangraped in October.
The acting chairperson of OHRC, Justice B K Mishra issued this direction to the superintendent of SLNMCH, while hearing a case in connection with the incident.
The minor tribal school girl was allegedly raped by four men on October 10 in Koraput district. She was admitted to SLNMCH.
The SLNMCH superintendent in his previous report to the commission had only cited that a team of doctors from Koraput and MKCG Medical College and Hospital, Berhampur, had examined the girl on October 10 and October 11. However, the commission had sought a detailed report which was supposed to be submitted today.
