Mission Indradhanush Immunisation-A total of 247 lakh children covered

Under Mission Indradhanush Immunization drive, children under 2 years of age and pregnant women are targeted for immunization. However, vaccination on demand is provided to children up to 5 years of age.


As on 20th July 2017, a total of 247 lakh children and around 67 lakh pregnant women have been covered under Mission Indradhanush. The State/UT-wise details are given below:

Mission Indradhanush vaccination drive is carried out by government staff involved in the immunization programme. However, immunization partners like WHO, UNICEF, UNDP, ITSU etc. are also providing support for microplan preparation, monitoring and supervision etc. during this drive.


The Minister of State (Health and Family Welfare), Sh Faggan Singh Kulaste stated this in a written reply in the Lok Sabha.
