A lady doctor, who was also reportedly pregnant for 3 months, has committed suicide by hanging herself in her bedroom. The doctor was employed at Sion Hospital in Mumbai.

As per the details reported by the police, the body was found hanging from the ceiling fan of her Wadala TT apartment.

The initial investigation by the police on the matter reveals that she had a tiff with her husband which prompted her to take the drastic step of ending two lives. However, no suicide has been recovered near her body.

Also, this unfortunate incident happened right when her family was in the living room. But, they had no idea of what was transpiring in her mind and as a result, happening in the next room.

As reported by a website, the woman, Ashwini Shenadarkar (29), reportedly took her life while three of her family members, including her husband, were in the living room. No suicide note was recovered.

Shenadarkar was doing a one-year bond service with the hospital’s pathology department. She had completed her MBBS from the Government Medical College in Ahmedabad and later pursued MD in pathology from Swami Ramanand Teerth Rural (SRTR) Medical College in Ambajogai. She was then posted at Sion Hospital to complete her bond service.

Police have registered a case of accidental death.
