NEET Scores will soon have Validity of 3 years: Report
New Delhi: Your NEET scores may soon have a validity of not one but three years, as the centre in consultation with the Medical Council Of India is making progress in this regard.
Confirmation to this effect was made a senior health ministry official to the daily The New Indian Express which has reported that according to sources, the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry has cleared a proposal by the Medical Council of India-Board of Governors extending the validity of their NEET score to three years.
NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test- Under Graduate) is an entrance examination which is to be conducted by the National Testing Agency once a year for admission in MBBS/BDS course in all medical colleges acroos the country whether government and private except certain institutions including AIIMS and JIPMER.
Further with amendments made last year, the entrance exam has also become mandatory for students wishing to pursue MBBS from abroad. The decision was taken to ensure that students of some academic standard study medicine in foreign universities.
