Netmeds.com, an e-marketplace for pharma has entered into a unique partnership with Stepathlon, a corporate fitness brand to keep automated pharmacy records for corporates. Under the joint service, a customized version of Netmeds.com-Medmemo will be introduced for an e-administration pharmacy system for HR managers and their employees.
Stepathlon is an activity-based employee engagement program which has witnessed an increase of more than 440 companies as a part of its corporate database in India. With a total employee head count in India of over 1,000,000 employees, Stepathlon has companies like Microsoft, Tata Motors, Capgemini, the Oberoi Group, Google-who are also reported to have enrolled for this program.
Commenting on the joint venture Mr. Pradeep Dadha, CEO, Netmeds stated that “as an employer with a sizeable staff, we recognized a chronic problem that plagued every HR professional regarding prescription drug and other health related expenditures. Search for pharmaceutical receipts, many of which are misplaced, followed by cueing up with the various receipts to be submitted to HR, have them documented and approved. The entire process is agonizing, time consuming, and inevitably costly for both HR and the employee.”
Ravi Krishnan, Co- Founder and CEO added, “Stepathlon, in partnership with some of India’s biggest employers, has built a community around the concept of wellness, and we’ve earned the support of HR departments by proving that the benefits of reduced absenteeism and increased productivity and engagement are real. The partnership with Netmeds fits with our philosophy, of making it easier for employees to stay healthy within their busy lives whilst also adding administrative convenience for the organizations for which they work.
The introduction of the customised version of Netmeds will allow employees to log into to either a desktop or a smartphone app, upload their prescription and order the medicines they need. The medicine will be delivered to their doorstep. The system will automatically record all purchases, as well as bills for tests, scans and medical supplies. Records will be “cloud-stored” and when it’s time to submit the receipts for reimbursement, they can all be easily accessed by the HR departments, as reported in a press release.
