New Delhi: Dr DS Rana Conferred With Dr BC Roy Award

New Delhi: Dr Devender Singh Rana (DS Rana), Chairman, Board of Management, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi has been selected for the prestigious BC Roy Award in the category of Eminent Medical Person for his contributions to the field of Medicine.
Speaking to team Medical Dialogues , Dr Rana said , " I am humbled by the by the prestigious award . I hail from a small village Dasmal and had to face hardships during my education . To attend school , I has to travel 12 kms one way and took 3 hours daily to reach school . I owe this award to my late parents who taught me to work hard with sincerity and live with honesty . This award is dedicated to my teacher's and Gurus who made me what I am today .And not the least to this great institution of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital where I have devoted 35 years of my career ."
Hailing from a small village in Himachal Pradesh, Dr D S Rana pursued his MBBS from Indira Gandhi Medical College, passing in the year 1972 . Post this, he did his post-graduation from prestigious medical institutes of India i.e. MD (Medicine) in 1976 from PGIMER, Chandigarh and MNAMS (Nephrology) in 1980 from AIIMS, New Delhi. He was awarded International Scholarship in Renal Transplantation by Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Ohio, USA in 1986.
