New Delhi: A 14-year-old domestic maid, who was allegedly tortured by a doctor, has been rescued by Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) from Delhi's Model Town after it received a complaint on its helpline number.

The lady doctor who tortured and also allegedly bit the minor girl has now been identified as Nidhi Chaudhary, a dentist in model town area.

Sharing the details of the shocking case on the social media platform, Twitter, the DCW chief Swati Maliwal said the maid was burnt, beaten, attacked with scissor by her lady employer who is a doctor, "Received call on Delhi Commission for Women 181 regarding a girl being tortured by employer. We rescued the 14-year-old Jharkhandi domestic maid from Model Town. Can't describe her condition! She was burnt, beaten, attacked with a scissor, spat at and bitten by lady employer who is a doctor! Most evil!," said Swati, DCW chief.

The Delhi Commission for Women chief Swati Jaihind wrote on the twitter about the shocking and brutal case questioning that 'how a doctor could be a brutal?'

"We rescued the 14- -year-old domestic maid from Model Town. Can't describe her condition. She was burnt, beaten, attacked with scissor by her lady employer who is a doctor," chief of the Commission Swati Maliwal said.

Ms Maliwal claimed that the police has arrested the lady doctor, invoking sections pertaining to "causing hurt" and under Bonded Labour Act, and demanded that she should be given maximum punishment.

She also wondered how could a doctor torture a 14-yr-old in such a brutal manner. "The little girl was confined to house, not given sweater and food," Ms Maliwal stated.

The child has been put under the care and protection of the child welfare committee and DCW counselors. The commission is now trying to trace the family of the girl in Jharkhand, reports TOI
