Newly inaugurated Medanta Lucknow to generate over 6000 jobs
Lucknow: Aiming to boost healthcare services and generate new job opportunities, Naresh Trehan led Medanta Group recently opened 1000-bed Medanta hospital in Lucknow, which was inaugurated by the Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath. The newly inaugurated facility comes as a fresh breeze as it will provide over 6000 job opportunities and more than 13,000 jobs overall.
During the ceremony, the minister confirmed that the Government will invest around Rs 1,500 crores in health infrastructure and provide more than 6000 job opportunities.
The newly inaugurated facility will cater to the to patients in areas of 16 super specialities including cardiology and cardiac surgery, neurology, gastroenterology, urology, orthopaedics, radiology, transfusion medicine, pulmonary medicine, medical oncology, internal medicine, and endocrinology.
With the extended host of services, the hospital will not just provide relief to patients but will also unroll a new vertical for many to join the hospital at various posts.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that the Group was also planning to open 1,000-bed hospitals in Gorakhpur, Varanasi and Allahabad on the lines of the one being constructed in Lucknow wherein the treatment cost would be kept affordable so that more people could avail benefits.

The same was recently inaugurated by the State Chief Minister, who cut the ribbons on November 6 and marked a new beginning by the hospital.
"A healthy competition was required in the health sector for long. We have SGPGI, KGMU and other institutions. More than 8,000 people visit PGI's OPD every day and the situation at KGMU is similar," he stated at the time of inauguration
"The state government is strengthening health infrastructure and opening new medical colleges. But super speciality healthcare is still a challenge and Medanta has come to meet it out, " he added.
Responding to the development, Dr Naresh Trehan, Chairman & Managing Director, Medanta said, "Medanta is actively contributing to advancements in medical science and is expanding its footprint of patient-centric medicine in cities like Lucknow. Further plans of expansion are underway in underserved cities in a resurgent India, staying true to the high ideals of care, compassion, and commitment."
