645 DNB Post Diploma Seats available: Check Seat Matrix
New Delhi: With the conclusion of Round 3 counselling, a total of 645 seats in 14 DNB Post Diploma specialities are left for the mop-up round of counselling session to be conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE).
The above aggregate comes from a recent indicative seat matrix published by the Natboard on its official website.
As per the seat matrix, the maximum seats of 235 are left in the speciality of Anaesthesiology followed by Paediatrics with 77 and Radio Diagnosis with 74 seats.
Candidates vying for admissions into the specialities of Orthopaedics have 62 seats, Ophthalmology 52, Obstetrics and Gynaecology 29, Radiation Oncology 48, Respiratory Medicine 32, Pathology 17 and ENT 6 seats to compete for in the mop-up session.
The DNB Post Diploma specialities of Nuclear Medicine has 6, Dermatology Venereology and Leprosy has only 1 seat left, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, has 4 and Psychiatry has 2 seats left for candidates.

The National Board of Examinations (NBE) recently released the schedule of Final (Mop-up) Round of the online Centralized Merit Based counseling for admission to DNB (Post Diploma) courses for 2021 admission session.
Candidates who do not join their allotted institute by 11.03.2022 will lose their DNB Seat & their Fee shall be forfeited. The DNB (Post Diploma) Seat falling vacant due to non-joining by 11.03.2022 (16:00 hrs) shall be released for inclusion in the Final (Mop-up) Round of counseling.
The schedule of Final (Mop-up) Round of the online Centralized Merit Based counseling for 2021 Admission Session is as follows:

Only the registered candidates who have not been allotted any seat during the First, Second and Third round of counseling, will be eligible for the Final (Mop-up) Round of counseling (Refer para 6.4 (2) of the counseling handbook). Candidates who have been allotted a DNB (Post Diploma) seat in the any of the three rounds of counseling but have failed to join the allocated institute shall also be ineligible for participation in Final (Mop-up) Round of counseling, the NBE added in the notice.
Candidates are also advised to carefully go through the Flowchart indicating the process of allotment of DNB (Post Diploma) seats in the Mop-up round. The flowchart is attached below:
Candidates who do not join their allotted institute in the Final (Mop -up) Round of counseling by the stipulated date i.e. 25-03-2022 will lose their DNB (Post Diploma) Seat & their Fee shall be forfeited, the notice further stated.
