815 PG Medical seats available at AIIMS, JIPMER, NIMHANS for January 2021: AIIMS releases Tentative seat position

New Delhi: Through a recent notice, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has released the tentative seat position for MD, MS, MDS, DM and MCh courses admission to which will be made via the PG medical entrance test INI CET 2020.

As per the tentative seat position published by the institute, there are a total of  815 PG medical seats available for candidates at all AIIMS institutes, NIMHANS and JIPMER. The seat position at PGI Chandigarh will be released later.

At AIIMS New Delhi, a total of 170 seats for MD, MS, MDS, DM, MCh courses are up for grabs. AIIMS branches at AIIMS Jodhpur and AIIMS Rishikesh have 100 and 102 seats respectively. AIIMS Bhopal has 50 seats tentatively for candidates.

67 PG medical seats are available at AIIMS Bhubaneswar. AIIMS Nagpur has 34 seats available. AIIMS Patna and Raipur have 73 and 84 PG medical seats available for candidates in the January PG medical session.

JIPMER has 115 PG medical seats for students this year as per the tentative seat position. Meanwhile, NIMHANS has 20 seats for PG medical aspirants.

Reservation for the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWBD) for AIIMS New Delhi & 7 other AIIMS

a) For MD/MS:

As per provisions (Chapter VI Clause 32) of the Rights of the Persons with Disabilities Act. 2016 Five percent of seats shall be reserved for Persons (Indian nationals) with Benchmark Disabilities (PWBD) The reservation will be provided on horizontal basis, as per their rank in order of merit in examination. Vacant seat, if any, shall be offered to the candidate from the general/relevant category. PWBD seats as per 5% Horizontal reservation for the session January 2021 will be uploaded separately.

b) For MDS:

As per 100-point roster, 1 (one) seat is reserved for Persons (Indian Nationals) with Benchmark Disabilities (PWBD) for the January 2021 session at AIIMS, New Delhi, in order of merit.

c) Foreign National / Sponsored

i) AIIMS New Delhi, AIIMS Rishikesh, and JIPMER, Puducherry (Foreign National / Sponsored)

The sponsored/Foreign National candidates are not required to participate in the Online Counselling/Seat Allocation process. Seat allocation process will have already been done in the result notification.

ii) PGIMER, Chandigarh (Foreign National & Bhutanese National candidates)

Seat Allocation of qualified candidates will be done by the PGIMER, Chandigarh.

No change in seat position of Foreign National / Sponsored candidates.

Note: - The Final seat position will be announced before deceleration of result.
