Pune: Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) has released the counselling schedule for NEET PG and NEET MDS 2023 candidates. The details related to Priority-III and Priority-IV candidates have also been released.

Merit-wise list for priority III, IV & V will be notified after the process of registration & obtaining the list from MCC. Groups will be created for all the priorities separately, and all relevant information including the link for online counseling will be shared with the candidates. All are requested to join the group with the mobile number registered with NBE having internet connectivity.

Candidates in priority-I to IV are required to log in to the link which will be forwarded to them, 01 hour before the scheduled time of counselling. All candidates have to be ready with their laptops or smartphones with a proper network, audio and visual. If any candidate will not be able to log in for the online counselling at the time of his/her merit, then he/she has to be available telephonically when contacted over the phone. An alternate mobile number also be given. Seat availability for each priority will be uploaded in the evening at 1800 hrs before the respective days of counselling.

The registered Priority-V candidates desirous of joining AFMS Institutions are to report to AFMC, Pune on 16 Aug 2023 at 0730 hrs on an empty stomach for medical examination.

Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) conducts Advance Specialist/ Post Graduate training primarily for the doctors of the Armed Forces Medical Services. The candidates eligible to apply for MD/MS seats at various AFMS PG institutions are (in order of preference) –

Priority-I: Eligible serving officers of the AFMS

Priority-II: Foreign students sponsored by Govt.

Priority-III: Medical officers sponsored by Para Military Forces/ other Govt. of India organizations.

Priority-IV: Ex-SSC AFMS officers released from service after completion of contractual service, within three years after the release from service (i.e., the date of release should not be before 01 May 2020 and after the last date of joining into the courses as notified by MCC.

Priority-V: Civilian doctors willing to serve in the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) for 05 years after completion of the course subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria. The candidate will have to execute a bond agreement to pay an amount as sanctioned by the Govt. of India at the time of admission, in case unwilling to join AFMS, when offered commission on completion of the course. The format of the Surety Bond is enclosed.

PG Courses are available in the following AFMS institutions:-

1. Armed Forces Medical College, Pune

2. Army Hospital (Research & Referral), Delhi Cantt.

3. INHS Asvini, Mumbai.

4. Command Hospital (Air Force), Bangalore.

5. Command Hospital (Eastern Command), Kolkata.

6. Command Hospital (Western Command), Chandimandir.

7. Command Hospital (Central Command), Lucknow.

8. Institute of Aerospace Medicine, Bangalore.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA -

A candidate must be a citizen of India (except a Priority II candidate).

Age criteria:-

1. AFMS Officers: As per extant training rules of AFMS.

2. Sponsored candidate: As per Govt. of India rules.

3. Civilian candidates: Maximum permissible age will be 30 years on 31 Dec 2023 (DOB on or after 01 Jan 1994). (for Priority-V candidates).

Action by candidates -

Candidates desirous of admission to Post Graduate courses at AFMS institutions and fulfilling the initial eligibility criteria as mentioned above have to register for AFMS institutes on the MCC website for centralized counselling.

It is the responsibility of the candidates to ascertain whether they meet the requisite eligibility criteria, final eligibility will be ascertained at the time of admission.

Civilian doctors will have to undergo a medical examination by a duly constituted medical board so as to assess their fitness for commission as per laid down criteria and will be admitted only if found fit

List of certificates to be produced/ submitted in original by selected candidates on the day of counselling/ admission -

1. 06 (six) Passport size photographs.

2. Copy of the NEET - PG 2023 admit card and a printed copy of the DGHS website registration slip.

3. NEET-PG 2023 scorecard as published by NBE.

4. SSLC/ICSE certificate as a valid certificate of proof of age.

5. Nationality certificate/Xerox copy of valid passport and domicile certificate (where applicable)/Birth certificate endorsed with nationality as India on it.

6. First to final year MBBS mark sheets of the respective university.

7. MBBS pass certificate/ degree certificate.

8. Internship completion certificate.

9. Permanent/ provisional State Medical Council registration certificate.

10. Attempt certificate.

11. Transfer certificate/ Migration certificate.

12. Educational Gap affidavit if any.

13. Allotment letter which will be published on the website after counselling is over.

Priority III Candidates

Subject-specific sponsorship certificate ( as per format available on the website) issued by the respective Para Military/ other Govt of India organization duly signed by the Competent Authority in the respective ministry of Govt of India in which the individual is permanently employed is mandatory. This has to be produced at the time of counselling without which candidates shall not be allowed to attend counseling. During counselling, eligible candidates will be considered eligible for only those subjects mentioned in their sponsorship certificate duly signed by the competent authority delegated by the Head of the respective organization. An original copy of the sponsorship certificate will be required to be deposited at the time of admission.

Priority IV Candidates

In the case of Ex-AMC/SSC Officers, a release order from Armed Forces Medical Services by DGAFMS/ concerned Medical Directorate and a movement order from the last unit for proceeding on release will be required to be shown in the original at the time of counselling and admission. SSC Officers in their last year of contractual service will have to produce their original release order from the Armed Forces Medical Services at the time of counselling without which the candidate will not be allowed to attend the counselling. SSC Officers in their extended contractual service must, in addition, have a copy of the permission letter from the O/o DGAFMS besides the proof of being released from services before the date of joining as notified by MCC.

Priority V Candidates

Civilian doctors willing to take admitted to the AFMS Institutions to pursue PG courses will have to report to AFMC, Pune for physical counseling as mentioned above. All civilian candidates joining AFMS Institutions for PG degree (MD/MS) course from the session 2023 will have to execute a Bond of Rs. 56 Lakhs (Rupees Fifty Six Lakhs only) as per GSL No 17436/DGAFMS/DG-1D/334/21/D(Medical) dt 15 Mar 2021

Candidates must have MBBS Degree registered with State Medical Council or MCI/NMC. Students who have completed/ are completing an internship by 12 Aug 2023 are eligible to apply along with a provisional registration certificate.

The candidate must have appeared in NEET- PG 2023 and secured a minimum qualifying score as indicated by MCC to be eligible for AFMS counselling.

There is no reservation based on caste/ religion etc., and the selection will be purely on the basis of merit.

A candidate who is already pursuing any postgraduate course shall not be eligible for admission to another PG course in the academic year 2023.

The number of candidates to be admitted in any discipline will be determined by the number of PG teachers available, the student-teacher ratio and any other criteria laid down by the NMC/ affiliated universities from time to time. The exact number of available seats will be communicated to the counselling committee prior to the counselling session.

Candidates admitted will have a service liability/bond liability binding as per Govt of India instructions on the subject.

Priority III –

Priority-III Candidates desirous of attending AFMS PG Counseling 2023 are required to forward a scanned copy of the following documents by e-mail to neetpge@gmail.com with the subject ‘NEET PG ROLL NO XYZ: PRIORITY-III COUNSELING NEET PG-2023’ from 27 Jul 2023 onwards till 1700 hrs on 02 Aug 2023 -

1. NEET PG-2023 Admit Card.

2. Subject specified sponsorship certificate duly signed by Competent Authority in the respective ministry of Govt of India in which the individual is permanently employed.

3. NEET PG- 2023 Score Card.

The subject of the e-mail must be as specified in para 1 above. Not abiding by the contents of this notice may result in the candidate not being called for the AFMS counselling 2023.

Priority IV –

Priority-IV Candidates ( Ex-AFMS SSC Officers) desirous of attending AFMS PG counseling 2023 are required to forward a scanned copy of the following documents by e-mail to neetpge@gmail.com with the subject ‘NEET PG ROLL NO XYZ: PRIORITY-IV COUNSELING NEET PG-2023’ from 27 Jul 2023 onwards till 1700 hrs on 02 Aug 2023 -

1. NEET PG-2023 Admit Card.

2. Copy of release order from AFMS by DGAFMS/ Concerned Medical Directorate/ NOC.

3. NEET PG- 2023 Score Card.

Please specify the following in the e-mail -

1. E-mail ID registered for NEET PG-2023 with NBE.

2. Mobile No registered with NBE for NEET PG-2023.

3. Alternate Mobile No.

(Please note that one of the mobile nos provided should have whatsapp installed)

The subject of the e-mail must be as specified in para1 above. Not abiding by the contents of this notice may result in the candidate not being called for AFMS counselling in 2023.
