AIIMS Nagpur Announces Conduction of Induction Program For MBBS Batch 2023
Nagpur: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS Nagpur) has announced the conduction of the induction program for the MBBS 2023 batch.
As per the notice, the induction is scheduled for 29th August 2023 at 10:00 am in Auditorium Hall. All students of MBBS 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 & Interns should attend the program. They should be seated at 9.30 am in the Auditorium Hall.
The faculty should relieve the students to attend the program. The regular teaching schedule on the said date will commence from noon onwards.
Recently AIIMS has announced the conduction of foundation courses from 29th August 2023 to 4th September 2023 for the MBBS 2023 batch. The courses will be conducted on 29th August 2023, 30th August 2023, 31st August 2023, 1st September 2023, 2nd September 2023, and 4th September 2023. The regular classes are to begin from 5th August 2023.
All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagpur, is among the four AIIMS announced during the budget speech 2014-15 under Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY). The Foundation stone for the institute was laid by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, and Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Devendra Fadnavis, at Sector 20, MIHAN, on 14th April 2017. Union Cabinet Minister for Road Transport and Highway and Shipping (GoI), Shri Nitin Gadkari, and several other dignitaries graced the occasion.
The primary objective of AIIMS is “correcting regional imbalances in the availability of affordable/reliable tertiary healthcare services and augment facilities for quality medical education in the country.” The available facilities are a learning resource centre, hostel, hospital, IPD, and OPD services. It offers a full-time undergraduate degree program in selected subjects, MBBS and Postgraduation (General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, ENT, and Ophthalmology). It has an innovative curriculum tailored to meet the current healthcare needs of the country.
