AIIMS Patna notifies on compulsory attendance for MBBS professional exams, Details
Patna: All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS Patna) released a circular regarding attendance for the professional exams for the MBBS course.
AIIMS has requested all the MBBS students to attend their respective lectures, practicals, foundation courses, tutorials and clinical posting. They need to have 75% attendance in each category of teaching modality to become eligible for professional examinations. If the students do not fulfil the required attendance, they can't appear in their respective professional examinations.
Concerned HoDs are requested to display monthly attendance on their department's notice board. They are asked to send quarterly attendance to the dean (academics) office. If the attendance is below 50%, this office will send an email to the concerned parent/guardian.
The concerned HoDs are requested to send attendance of complete professionals in each modality to the dean (exams)/examination section and a copy of the same to the dean (academics). After the scrutiny of attendance, the dean (exams)/examination section will publish a provisional list of the students eligible to appear in the professional examination. Students who have less than 75% attendance will not be allowed for a professional examination.
For MBBS admission, the students need to clear the NEET UG. They have to submit the NEET scorecard and attend an open counselling session. After the counselling process, the NEET score and counselling scores are used to determine who is selected to pursue the MBBS course at the institute.
