New Delhi: Through a recent notification, the AIIMS has announced the results of 1st Round of Online Seat Allocation (Institute Subject/Specialty) for MD/MS/MCh(6 years)/DM(6 years)/MDS, January 2021 Session (INI‐CET)

The 1st Round Online Seat Allocation for MD/MS/MCh(6 years)/DM(6 years)/MDS, January 2021 Session of Institutes of National Importance, namely, AIIMS-New Delhi, -Bhopal, -Bhubaneswar, -Jodhpur, -Patna, -Raipur, - Rishikesh; JIPMER Puducherry; NIMHANS Bengaluru and PGIMER Chandigarh is based on choices exercised by the provisionally eligible candidates from 05:00 pm 15.12.2020 to 5:00 pm 19.12.2020.

Accordingly, the allocation of seats (Institute and Subject/Specialty) in 1st Round of seat allocation has been done. The General Rules for Online Seat Allocation is described at the end of this document.
Important information:
1. This list includes all candidates who were eligible for the 1st Round of Online Seat Allocation. Those who didn't register for seat allocation has been marked NR/NP.
2. Candidates who did not participate/registered in the 1st Round of Online Seat Allocation are NOT ELIGIBLE for the 2nd Round of Online Seat Allocation but can participate in the Open Round of Seat Allocation.
3. Based on the certificates (OBC/EWS) uploaded by the candidates as per Information Brochure of 1st Round of Online Seat Allocation Dated 14.12.2020, the preliminary verification of validity of certificates has been done. Accordingly, candidates who had uploaded valid certificates (OBC/EWS) have been considered in the claimed category and candidates who did not upload valid certificates or uploaded invalid certificates (OBC/EWS) have been considered as UR merit list. (8 times of number of seats in respective category)
4. This list does not include Foreign Nationals/Sponsored candidates.
5. For the 2nd round, the order of Online Seat Allocation process will be based on the merit order used for the 1st Round (including institutional preference seats) with no further change.
Procedure to be followed by candidates who have been allotted PG course/subject in the 1st round of online seat allocation
All candidates who have been allotted a seat (Institute & Subject/Specialty)in the 1stRound of Online Seat Allocation are required to login through the portal by visiting at the website www.aiimsexams.org and actively exercise one of the following options by 5.00 PM on 26thDecember, 2020. Failure to select any of the option as below will lead to forfeiture of the allocated Institute & Subject/Specialty and the candidate will become ineligible to participate in 2nd Round.
Option 1. ACCEPT allotted seat and DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in further rounds of online Seat Allocation.
Option 2. ACCEPT allotted seat and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in 2nd ROUND of online Seat Allocation [if You choose Option‐2 and participate in 2nd Round and you are allocated another seat as per your choice in 2nd round, then you will have to accept the seat allocated during 2nd Round. The seat allocated in first round shall be considered vacated and the same shall be automatically allocated to other candidates in order of merit. Failure to accept the upgraded seat shall lead to impositions of penalty of Rs. 3.00 Lakh.]
Instruction for each option is as follows:
Option 1: If the Option 1 i.e. ACCEPT allotted Seat and DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in further rounds of Online Seat Allocation is selected then,
1) It must be noted that by exercising this choice the candidate is OPTING NOT TO PARTICIPATE IN FURTHER ROUNDS OF SEAT ALLOCATION.
2) The candidate/authorized representative will have to report at Institute(as per point 8, 9 of information brochure for 1s Round of Online Seat Allocation dated 14.12.2020) by 5.00 PM on 28thDecember, 2020 with the Offer Letter (downloaded from the MyPage after login at www.aiimsexams.org), Seat Allocation Letter/Slip from online Portal and deposit original certificates OR photocopies of certificates with a print copy of Electronic transfer (RTGS/NEFT) of Rs. 3 Lakhs only (Rupees Three Lakhs only (Account details on page 110).The amount shall be refunded only when original certificates are deposited.
3) If original certificates are not deposited at the time of joining, these will have to be submitted within 5 days of joining, otherwise admission will be cancelled, the deposited money will be forfeited, and the candidate will not be eligible for any further participation in Seat Allocation.
In the event that a candidate who has exercised this option but does not report in person or through authorized representative by 5.00 PM on 28thDecember, 2020, the admission will stand cancelled and he/she shall become ineligible for participating in all further rounds of Online Seat Allocation. No further correspondence shall be entertained in this regard. However, these candidates can participate in the Open Round of Seat Allocation.
Option 2: If the option of "ACCEPT allotted Seat and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in 2ndROUND of Online Seat Allocation"is selected then
1) The candidate/authorized representative will have report to the Institute(as per point 8, 9 of information brochure for 1s Round of Online Seat Allocation dated 14.12.2020) by 5.00 PM on 28thDecember, 2020 with the Offer Letter (downloaded from the MyPage after login at www.aiimsexams.org), Seat Allocation Letter/Slip from online Portal and deposit original certificates OR photocopies of certificates with a print copy of Electronic transfer (RTGS/NEFT) of Rs. 3 Lakhs only (Rupees Three Lakhs only (Account details on page 110). The amount shall be refunded only when original certificates are deposited.
2) In the event of a candidate who has exercised this option but does not report in‐person or through authorized representative (as per Information Brochure) by 5.00 PM on 28thDecember, 2020, the offer of allocated seat will stand cancelled and he/she shall become ineligible for participating in all further rounds of Online Seat Allocation. No further correspondence shall be entertained in this regard. However, these candidates can participate in the Open Round of Seat Allocation.
3) The candidate shall be eligible for the 2nd round of Online Seat Allocation subject to terms and conditions mentioned above in point no. 1.
4) If in the 2nd Round of seat allocation, a candidate who has chosen option 2 is allocated another seat as per choice made, then the candidate will have to accept the seat allocated in 2nd Round and the seat allocated in the 1st will be released automatically. Such candidates cannot retain seat allotted in 1st Round and failure to join the seat allocated in 2nd Round shall lead to imposition of penalty of Rs. 3 lakh.
Note: If any candidate who has been allocated a seat in the 1stRound of Online Seat Allocation does not respond in any of the above manner, his/her seat allocation shall stand cancelled and he/she shall be ineligible for 2nd Round of online Seat Allocation.

Policy regarding the depositing of documents/certificates/Rs 3.00 Lakhs

The claim to the allotted seat by candidates is subject to verification of original documents for eligibility as applicable as well as identity verification of candidate. If a candidate fails to submit all required certificates (original) OR photocopies with Electronic Transfer of Rs 3.00 Lakh) his/her candidature shall stand cancelled, the seat offered in 1st Round shall be vacated for next Round and he/she will not be allowed to participate in 2nd Round of seat allocation process. However, the candidate will be eligible for the Open Round of Seat Allocation.
Method of payment through Electronic Fund Transfer
Candidates who have chosen Option 1 or 2 and wish to make an electronic deposit of Rs 3.00 lakh in lieu of submission of original certificates, the following procedure is to be followed:
1. The amount of Rs.3 lakh should be deposited through electronic fund transfer in the Account given below:

2. Take a print out of the electronic transfer showing the Transaction ID, Amount and Date of Electronic Transfer.
3. Scan the print out of the electronic transfer and email it to the designated email ID of the Nodal Officer of the allocated Institute with copy to inicet.pgcounselling@gmail.com
List of Documents/Certificates that are required to be deposited in Original OR photocopy along with print copy of details of transaction of Rs 3.00 lakh, as applicable.
i) Offer Letter(From MyPage after logging in)
ii) Seat allocation Slip (take a print after online acceptance of the allocated Seat (Institute‐subject/speciality)
iii) Final Registration Slip(From MyPage after logging in)
iv) Admit Card issued by AIIMS (From MyPage after logging in)
v) Mark Sheets of MBBS/BDS 1st, 2nd and 3rd Professional Examinations.
vi) MBBS/BDS Degree Certificate.
vii) Internship Completion Certificate/Certificate from the Head of Institution or College that the candidate will be completing the internship by 31st January 2021 for all AIIMS & 31st December, 2020 for JIPMER Puducherry, PGIMER Chandigarh & NIMHANS Bengaluru.
viii) Permanent/Provisional Registration Certificate issued by MCI or DCI/State Medical or Dental Council.
ix) High School/Higher Secondary Certificate/Birth Certificate as proof of date of birth. (Matriculation)
x) The Candidate should also bring the following certificate, if applicable*:
a. SC/ST/OBC/EWS: Original Certificates issued by the competent authority and that have been issued within the dates mentioned below, should be in English or Hindi in language. Community should be clearly mentioned in the certificate. OBC/EWS certificate should be same as provided to Examination Section, AIIMS, New Delhi within in due dates.
Note: OBC Certificate should be issued by the competent authority for central Govt. jobs/for admission in Central Govt. College/Institute. The sub‐caste should tally with the Central List of OBC. OBC Certificates that are applicable only for respective State Governments shall not be acceptable. OBC certificate must be in the Central Govt. Format as prescribed in the prospectus.OBC Candidates should not belong to Creamy Layer.
The dates of issuance of certificates -
(i) OBC‐NCL/EWS: The OBC‐NCL/EWS certificates should have been issued between 27.10.2019 and 20.11.2020 (date of examination of INI‐CET, Jan 2021), both dates inclusive.
(ii) SC/ST/PwBD: The SC/ST/PwBD certificates should have been issued on or before 20.11.2020 (date of examination).
The allocated PG Course/Subject of candidates who fail to produce valid certificates of respective constitutional categories (OBC, SC/ST/EWS) will be forfeited and the candidates will be permitted to participate in further rounds under UR category subject to conditions applicable to UR merit list.
b. Certificate for Persons with Benchmark Disability issued from a duly constituted and authorized Medical Board as mentioned in the prospectus.
c. Any other certificate in respect of candidature as per prospectus INI‐CET Part‐B of respective institute as applicable
Note: Candidates must note that a certificate from any other person/authority will not be accepted and no further correspondence in this regard shall be entertained. The name, designation and the seal of the officer should be legible in the certificate.
The allocated seat of candidates, who fail to produce valid certificate of PWBD category, will be forfeited and the candidates will be permitted to participate in further round under their respective constitutional category subject to conditions applicable to respective merit list.
Policies regarding eligibility for 2nd round
The candidates who have been allocated seat in the 1st round and have chosen the option 2 (mentioned above) and have fulfilled the requirements shall be eligible for the 2nd Round of Online Seat Allocation.
All the candidates who shall be considered in the 1stroundand but have not been allocated any seatwill automatically be eligible for the next round. Those who have secured more than 50thpercentile for UR Category & 45 percentile for SC/ST/OBC‐NCL marks in the INI‐CET but not called for 1st ROUND of seat allocation will not be eligible for the 2ndRound of Online Seat Allocation but will be eligible for Open Round of Seat Allocation.
All candidates who were eligible for the 1st Round of seat allocation but did not register or fill choices (NR/NPin this notification) shall not be considered eligible for the 2ndRounds of seat allocation but will be eligible for Open Round of Seat Allocation.
General rules adopted for 1st round of online seat allocation/counselling
1. Merit shall be the guiding principle for seat allocation.
a. The merit list as published in the Notice No. 152/2020 dated 14/12/2020, Notice No.202/17.12.2020 Notice No.203/2020 18.12.2020 shall be used to determine merit. The eligibility of claim to OBC/EWS seat is based on scrutiny of uploaded certificates as mentioned in Information Brochure of 1st Round of Online Seat Allocation dated 14.12.2020
b. All candidates whether of the unreserved or appropriate reserved category shall be eligible for the unreserved category seat (Institute& Subject/Specialty) in order of merit
c. Unreserved category candidates are not eligible for reserved category seat (Institute & Subject/Specialty)
d. For an available seat (Institute& Subject/Specialty) in a particular category/ preference a candidate higher in merit shall be allotted the seat (Institute & Subject/Specialty) over candidate lower in merit.
e. The validity of OBC/EWS certified shall be as follows: ‐
(iii) OBC‐NCL/EWS: The OBC‐NCL/EWS certificates should have been issued between 27.10.2019 and 20.11.2020 (date of examination of INI‐CET, Jan 2021), both dates inclusive.
(iv) SC/ST/PwBD: The SC/ST/PwBD certificates should have been issued on or before 20.11.2020 (date of examination).
2. The seat (Institute & Subject/Specialty)available for allocation are: Unreserved (UR), OBC (Other Backward Class), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Economically Weak Section (EWS), PWBD (Persons with Benchmark Disability), AIIMS Preferential seat (Institute & Subject/Specialty)Karnataka Domicile, North East Domicile, Rural Area (RA)
Unreserved seat (Institute & Subject/Specialty): All candidates are eligible as per merit list
OBC seat (Institute & Subject/Specialty): Only OBC candidates are eligible as per merit list subjected to online submission of valid caste Certificate within due date as mentioned in Information Brochure of 1st Round of Online Seat Allocation dated 14.12.2020 and Subsequent representation through Email to registered Email Address or in person.
SC seat (Institute & Subject/Specialty): Only SC candidates are eligible
ST seat (Institute & Subject/Specialty): Only ST candidates are eligible
EWS seat (Institute & Subject/Specialty): Only EWS candidates are eligible as per merit list and online submission of valid caste Certificate within due date as per as mentioned in Information Brochure of 1st Round of Online Seat Allocation dated 14.12.2020 and Subsequent Email to registered Email Address or in person.
PWBD seat (Institute & Subject/Specialty): Only PWBD candidates are eligible AIIMS Preferential seat (Institute & Subject/Specialty): Only graduates from respective AIIMS(only AIIMS, New Delhi are eligible for UR seat (AIIMS& Subject/Specialty)of the respective AIIMS.
Institute (INST): ‐ Institute stands for an applicant who has studied and obtained his/her MBBS Degree from JIPMER. The word Institute is not applicable to any other Medical Institution for the purpose of benefit against statutory reservations.
a. All reservations other than for PWBD are vertical reservations (reserved only in the respective categories)
b. PWBD Reservations are horizontal reservations (across categories)according to a point‐based roster as mentioned in the prospectus
c. Seats (Institute & Subject/Specialty) remaining vacant after allocation to eligible PWBD candidate of respective category will be released for seat allocation in their respective categories in the same round
d. AIIMS Preferential seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) for AIIMS graduates shall be available amongst the UR seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty)
3. Every candidate has been Allocated a Seat (Specialty/Subject) as per his/her best choice provided, as available at that rank for the 1stRound.
4. If at a particular rank for a candidate, the best choice of the candidate is available in both the open merit (unreserved) as well as a reserved category (wherever applicable) then the seat (Institute & Subject/Specialty) has been allocated under the unreserved category and not the reserved category.
a. Seat (Institute & Subject/Specialty)in the reserved category for reserved candidate shall be allocated only if there is no corresponding seat (Institute & Subject/Specialty)available in the unreserved category for the best choice of the candidate available at that rank
b. If an PWBD (PWD) candidate gets a better choice in the open merit UR/OBC/SC/ST/EWS he/she has been given that choice
5. For Persons with Benchmark Disability (more than 40%), a 5% horizontal reservation shall be followed for the seats(Institute & Subject/Specialty)and allocation has been done on basis of merit.
a. PWBD candidates are eligible only for the category to which he/she belongs i.e. If a candidate belongs to a reserved category, he /she is eligible for a seat (Institute & Subject/Specialty)only under that category and not in the unreserved category (horizontal reservation)
i. Eligible PWBD candidate of UR category can avail a reserved seat (Institute & Subject/Specialty)only in the UR category
ii. Eligible PWBD candidate of OBC category can avail a reserved seat (Institute & Subject/Specialty)only in the OBC category
iii. Eligible PWBD candidate of SC category can avail a reserved seat (Institute & Subject/Specialty)only in the SC category
iv. Eligible PWBD candidate of ST category can avail a reserved seat (Institute & Subject/Specialty)only in the ST category
v. Eligible PWBD candidate of EWS category can avail a reserved seat (Institute & Subject/Specialty)only in the ST category
6. AIIMS preference Allocation: For AIIMS‐New Delhi the Institutional Preference shall be allocated according to the criteria mentioned in the Prospectus Part‐B page no 05 of AIIMS.
7. JIPMER preference Allocation: For JIPMER – Puducherry the Institute (INST) Preference shall be allocated according to the criteria mentioned in the Prospectus Part‐B page no 05 of JIPMER.
8. Vacant seat (Institute & Subject/Specialty)in 1st round of seat allocation shall be allotted in subsequent rounds by following the above rules.
9. All those candidates who filled choices in the Mock Round but did not edit (reorder/add/delete) later, the choices made in the Mock Round have been considered for the 1st round of seat allocation subject to rules for eligibility and allocation.
10. All candidate must read the Information Brochure for 1st round of Online Seat Allocation (No.F.AIIMS/EXAM.SEC./4‐5/(INI‐CET‐PG‐JAN‐2021)/2020 Dated 14.12.2020), instructions given in offer letter, Email sent on registered Email address.
Participation in the 1st round is mandatory to be eligible for the 2nd round of online seat allocation for MD/MS/MCH(6years)/DM(6 years)/MDS, January 2021 Session
