New Delhi: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has declared the 2nd Round of Online Seat Allocation (AIIMS Subject/Specialty) for MD/MS/MCh(6 years)/DM(6 years)/MDS, July 2020 Session.

The 2nd Round of seat allocation for AIIMS PG courses in MD/MS/MCh(6 years)/DM(6 years)/MDS, July 2020 Session, has been done on the basis of choices made (from 11.00 am, 10.07.2020 to 5.00 pm, 11.07.2020) by eligible candidates.

The General Rules followed for Online Seat Allocation are given below.

Important information

1. This list includes all candidates who were eligible for the 2nd Round of Online Seat Allocation (Those who have either registered or not registered for the Online Seat Allocation process through the online portal).

2. Based on the certificates (OBC/EWS) uploaded by the candidates as per the Notice no 75/2020 dated 14.06.2020 and subsequent representations submitted through emails sent to registered email address of the candidates or in person, the preliminary verification of validity of certificates has been done before declaration of result of Seat Allocation for 1st Round of Counselling. Accordingly, candidates who had uploaded valid certificates (OBC/EWS) have been considered in the claimed category and candidates who did not upload valid certificates or uploaded invalid certificates (OBC/EWS) have been considered as UR subject to cut off rank of UR merit list.

3. Candidates who did not participate in the 2ndRound of Online Seat Allocation are NOT ELIGIBLE for the 3rd of Round of Online Seat Allocation but can participate in the Open Round of Seat Allocation.

4. For the 3rdround, the order of Online Seat Allocation process will be based on the merit order used for the 2ndRound (including institutional preference seats) with no further change.

PROCEDURE TO BE FOLLOWED BY CANDIDATES WHO HAVE BEEN ALLOTTED SEAT (AIIMS & SUBJECT/SPECIALTY) IN THE 2NDROUND OF ONLINE SEAT ALLOCATION

All candidates who have been allotted a seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) in the 2ndRound of Online Seat Allocation are required to login through the portal by visiting at the website www.aiimsexams.org and actively exercise one of the following options by 5.00 PM on 21st July, 2020. Failure to select any of the option as below will lead to forfeiture of the allocated seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) and the candidate will become ineligible to participate in 3rd Round.

Option 1. ACCEPT allotted Seat and DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in further rounds of Seat Allocation

Option 2. ACCEPT allotted Seat and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in 3rd ROUND of Seat Allocation

[If you choose option‐2 and participate in next round and you are allocated another seat as per your choice in next round, then you will have to join the seat allocated during next round and the previously allocated seat shall be deemed vacated and automatically be allocated to the candidate next in merit as per choice. The vacated seat shall be automatically allocated to other candidates in order of merit in the same round. Failure to join the upgraded seat in next round of seat allocation shall lead to impositions of the penalty of Rs. 3.00 Lakh if you do not join upgraded seat.]

Instruction for Candidates (Read Carefully)

There are three Groups of candidates who have been allocated seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty) in the 2nd Round of Online Seat Allocation. The procedures are different for each Group. Kindly follow the instructions as applicable to you.

It is mandatory for all candidates who have been allotted seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty) in 2nd Round to login and exercise one of the options as mentioned above by 5.00 PM on Tuesday, the 21st July, 2020.

Group I. Candidates who had chosen option 2 in the 1st Round of Online Seat Allocation. There are two outcomes for them:

Group I A. Candidates who have been allotted same seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty) in the 2nd Round as they had been allotted in 1st Round

Group I B. Candidates who have been allotted a higher/better choice seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty) in the 2nd Round as compared to 1st Round.

Group II. Candidates who were not allotted seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty) in the 1st Round but now have been allotted seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty) in the 2nd Round of Online Seat Allocation.

Group III. Candidates who have not been allotted seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty) in both 1st Round and 2nd Round.

Instructions for candidates belonging to Group IA (Candidates who had chosen option 2 in the 1st Round of Online Seat Allocation and who have been allotted same seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty) in the 2nd Round as they had been allotted in 1st Round)

Option 1. ACCEPT allotted Seat DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in further rounds of Seat Allocation. The candidate will have to go to the allotted AIIMS with the Offer Letter (downloaded from the MyPage after login at www.aiimsexams.org) and report in person to the allotted AIIMS by 5.00 PM on Wednesday, the 22nd July 2020. In case you had deposited DD with photocopies of certificates after the 1st Round of Online Seat Allocation, then you are required to deposit the original certificates at the time of reporting and the DD will be returned.(For payment made through Electronic Fund Transfer refund will be processed by the Nodal Officer of AIIMS, New Delhi in due course of time after verification and approval)

Option 2. ACCEPT allotted Seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in 3rd ROUND of Online Seat Allocation. The candidate must email a scanned copy of the duly signed Offer Letter (downloaded from the MyPage after login at www.aiimsexams.org) to email id of the respective AIIMS (mentioned on page 53) by 5.00 PM on Wednesday, the 22nd July 2020. The candidate must log in if they wish to participate in the 3rdRound of Online Seat Allocation on dates mentioned in the Important Dates link.

Instructions for candidates belonging to Group IB (Candidates who have been allotted a higher/better choice seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty) in the 2nd Round as compared to 1st Round in the same or different AIIMS)

Option 1. ACCEPT allotted seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty) and DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in further rounds of Online Seat Allocation. The candidate will have to go to the allotted AIIMS with the Offer Letter (downloaded from the MyPage after login at www.aiimsexams.org) and report in person to the allotted AIIMS by 5.00 PM on Wednesday, the 22nd July 2020. The certificates/DD will be transferred internally within respective AIIMS. In case you had deposited DD with photocopies of certificates after the 1st Round of Online Seat Allocation, then you are required to deposit the original certificates at the time of reporting and the DD will be returned. (For payment made through Electronic Fund Transfer request will be processed by the Nodal Officer of AIIMS, New Delhi in due course of time after verification and approval)

Option 2. ACCEPT allotted seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty) and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in 3rd ROUND of Online Seat Allocation. The candidate must email a scanned copy of the duly signed Offer Letter (downloaded from the MyPage after login at www.aiimsexams.org) to email id of the respective AIIMS (mentioned on page 53) by 5.00 PM on Wednesday, the 22nd July 2020. The candidate must log in if they wish to participate in the 3rd Round of Online Seat Allocation on dates mentioned in the Important Dates link.

The certificates/DD will be transferred internally within respective AIIMS.

Instructions for candidates belonging to Group II (Candidates who were not allotted seat (AIIMS and subject/Specialty) in the 1st Round but now have been allotted seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty) in the 2nd Round of Online Seat Allocation)

Option 1. ACCEPT allotted seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty) and DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in further rounds of Online Seat Allocation. The candidate must report to the allocated AIIMS in 2nd Round within the dates mentioned in the Important Dates Link.

• The candidate will have to go to the allotted AIIMS by 5.00 PM on Wednesday, the 22nd July 2020 with the Offer Letter (downloaded from the MyPage after login at www.aiimsexams.org) and report in person to the allotted Institute for depositing original certificates OR a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 3 Lakhs only (Rupees Three Lakhs only) in the name of Director AIIMS, New Delhi along with photocopies of certificates. The DD and photocopies of the certificates can be deposited by a person authorized by a candidate. The DD will be refunded when original certificates are deposited.

• It must be noted that by exercising this choice the candidate is OPTING NOT TO PARTICIPATE IN FURTHER ROUNDS OF SEAT ALLOCATION.

• If original certificates are not deposited at the time of reporting, these will have to be submitted in person within 5 days of reporting, otherwise allocated seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty) and deposited money will be forfeited, and the candidate will not be eligible for any further participation in counselling.

• In the event of a candidate who has exercised this option but does not report by 5.00 PM on Wednesday, the 22nd July, 2020, the Online Seat Allocated will be cancelled and he/she shall become ineligible for participating in all further rounds of Online Seat Allocation. However, these candidates can participate in the Open Round of Seat Allocation.

Option 2. If the option of ACCEPT allotted seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty) and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in 3rd ROUND of Online Seat Allocation is selected then,

• The candidate will have to go to the allotted AIIMS by 5.00 PM on Wednesday, the 22nd July, 2020 with the Offer Letter (downloaded from the MyPage after login at www.aiimsexams.org) and report in person to the allotted Institute for depositing original certificates OR a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 3 Lakhs only (Rupees Three Lakhs only) in the name of Director AIIMS, New Delhi along with photocopies of certificates. The DD and photocopies of the certificates can be deposited by a person authorized by candidate. The DD will be refunded when original certificates are deposited for joining a Seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty)after any round of counselling but will be forfeited if no seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty) is opted at the end of all rounds.

• In the event of a candidate who has exercised this option but does not report by 5.00 PM on Wednesday, the 22nd July, 2020, the admission will be cancelled and he/she shall become ineligible for participating in all further rounds of Seat Allocation.

• The candidate shall be eligible for the 3rdround of Online Seat Allocation.

Instructions for candidates belonging to Group III (Candidates who were not allotted seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty) in the 1st Round and 2nd Round Both)

All the candidates who had participated in the 2nd round and were not allocated any seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty) will automatically be eligible for the 3rd round.

Note: Any candidate who has been allocated a seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty) in the 2ndRound of Online Seat Allocation and does NOT respond in any of the above manner, his/her offer, of course, shall be vacated and he/she shall be ineligible for all further Rounds of Online Seat Allocation except the Open Round of Seat Allocation.

POLICY REGARDING THE DEPOSITING OF DOCUMENTS/CERTIFICATES/DD as applicable

The claim to the allotted seat by candidates is subject to verification of original documents for eligibility as applicable as well as identity verification of the candidate. If a candidate fails to submit required certificates (original or photocopies with DD) his/her candidature will be cancelled, the offer, of Course, will be vacated for next Round and he/she will not be allowed to participate in subsequent stages of selection/admission process. However, the candidate will be eligible for the Open Round of Seat Allocation.

ADDITIONAL METHOD OF PAYMENT THROUGH ELECTRONIC FUND TRANSFER

Candidates who have chosen Option 1 and Option 2 and wish to make online payments instead of depositing Demand Draft, the following procedure is to be followed:

a. Instead of Demand Draft, the candidates can deposit the amount of Rs.3 lakh through electronic fund transfer in the Account .details attached below

b. The details of the Transaction with the Transaction ID, Amount and Date of electronic fund transfer should be sent to the designated email ID of the Nodal Officer of allocated AIIMS (details on page 53) with a copy (CC) to aiims.pgcounselling@gmail.com. The self‐attested scanned copies of the required certificates as per the result notification 70/2020 dated 15.07.2020 should also be attached.

c. This is an additional method for confirming your acceptance of the allocated seat (AIIMS‐subject/specialty).

d. No need to personally visit at respective AIIMS for depositing the documents for those candidates who have paid Rs.3 lakh through electronic fund transfer in lieu of the original certificate. (For payment made through Electronic Fund Transfer request will be processed by the Nodal Officer of AIIMS, New Delhi). However all candidates chosen option 1 by the due date and deposited Rs 3 lakh through online mode must submit an original certificate in person to any/respective AIIMS within 5 days, failing which the allocation will cancelled and seat will be released for a further round of seat allocation.

List of Documents/Certificates that are required to be deposited in Original OR photocopy along with Demand Draft as applicable.

i) Offer Letter

ii) Seat allocation letter

iii) Final Registration Slip

iv) Admit Card issued by AIIMS.

v) Mark Sheets of MBBS/BDS 1st, 2nd and 3rd Professional Examinations.

vi) MBBS/BDS Degree Certificate.

vii) Internship Completion Certificate/Certificate from the Head of Institution or College that the candidate will be completing the internship by 31st July 2020.

viii) Permanent/Provisional Registration Certificate issued by MCI or DCI/State Medical or Dental Council.

ix) High School/Higher Secondary Certificate/Birth Certificate as proof of date of birth. (Matriculation)

x) The Candidate should also bring the following certificate if applicable*:

a. SC/ST/OBC/EWS Certificate* issued by the competent authority and should be in English or Hindi in language. Community should be clearly mentioned in the certificate. OBC/EWS certificate should be same as provided to Examination Section, AIIMS, New Delhi within in due dates.

Note: OBC Certificate* should be issued by the competent authority for central Govt. jobs/for admission in Central Govt. College/Institute. The sub‐caste should tally with the Central List of OBC. OBC Certificates that are applicable only for respective State Governments shall not be acceptable. OBC certificate must be in the Central Govt. Format as prescribed in the prospectus. OBC Candidates should not belong to Creamy Layer.

* The allocated seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty) of candidates who fail to produce valid certificates of respective constitutional categories (OBC, SC/ST/EWS) will be forfeited and the candidates will be permitted to participate in further rounds under UR category subject to conditions applicable to UR merit list.

* The validity of OBC (NCL)/EWS certificate shall be 05.04.2019 to 11.06.2020 (both date inclusive). Certificate issued within this period shall be accepted only.

b. Certificate for Persons with Benchmark Disability** issued from a duly constituted and authorized Medical Board as mentioned in the prospectus.

Note: Candidates must note that a certificate from any other person/authority will not be accepted and no further correspondence in this regard shall be entertained. The name, designation and the seal of the officer should be legible in the certificate.

** The allocated seat of candidates who fail to produce a valid certificate of PWBD category will be forfeited and the candidates will be permitted to participate in the further round under their respective constitutional category subject to conditions applicable to the respective merit list.  

CONTACT DETAILS OF RESPECTIVE AIIMS FOR ADMISSION TO AIIMS PG COURSES FOR JULY 2020 SESSION.

Candidates who have been allotted Seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty)and have chosen the option that requires them to deposit certificate / DD should approach Nodal officer/official at any AIIMS as given below. Those who have chosen option 1 and 2 (see above) and wish to deposit DD then the DD should be only in the favour of Director AIIMS, New Delhi.

POLICIES REGARDING ELIGIBILITY FOR 3rd ROUND

The candidates who are allocated seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty) in the 2nd round and have chosen the option 2 (mentioned above) and have fulfilled the requirements are eligible for the 3rd Round of Online Seat Allocation.

All the candidates who had participated in the 2nd round and were not allocated any seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty) will automatically be eligible for the next round. Those who have secured more than 50thpercentile marks in the entrance examination but not called for 2ndRound counselling will not be eligible for the 3rdround of Online Seat Allocation but will be eligible for Open Round of Seat Allocation.

All candidates who were eligible for 2nd Round of Online Seat Allocation but did not register or fill choices (NR/NP in this notification) are not eligible for the 3rdRounds of Online Seat Allocation.

Note: Eligibility for 3rd Round is Subject to mandatory login between 25‐07‐2020 11:00 AM to 27‐07‐2020 5:00 PM.

GENERAL RULES ADOPTED FOR 2ndROUND OF ONLINE SEAT ALLOCATION OF PG COURSE)

1. Merit shall be the guiding and overruling principle for counselling.

a. The merit list as published in the Result Notification No.49/2020 dated 18/06/2020 shall be used to determine merit

b. All candidates whether of the unreserved or appropriate reserved category shall be eligible for the unreserved category seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty) in order of merit

c. Unreserved category candidates are not eligible for reserved category seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty)

d. For an available seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty) in a particular category/preference, a candidate higher in merit shall be allotted the seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty) over candidate lower in merit.

2. The seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty) available for allocation are: Unreserved (UR), OBC (Other Backward Class), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), PWBD (Orthopedically Handicapped /Persons with Disability/PWD), AIIMS Preferential seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty)

Unreserved seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty): All candidates are eligible

OBC seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty): Only OBC candidates are eligible as per merit list subjected to online submission of valid caste Certificate within due date as per Notice No. 75/2020 and Subsequent representation through Email to registered Email Address or in person.

SC seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty): Only SC candidates are eligible

ST PG seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty): Only ST candidates are eligible

EWS seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty): Only EWS candidates are eligible as per merit list and online submission of valid caste Certificate within due date as per Notice No. 75/2020 and Subsequent Email to registered Email Address or in person.

PWBD seat (AIIMS and Subject/Specialty): Only PWBD candidates are eligible

AIIMS Preferential Seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty): Only graduates from respective AIIMS(only AIIMS, New Delhi)are eligible for UR Seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) of the respective AIIMS.

a. All reservations other than for PWBD are vertical reservations (reserved only in the respective categories)

b. PWBD Reservations are horizontal reservations (across categories)according to a point‐based roster as mentioned in the prospectus

c. PWBD Seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) that remain vacant DURING 1stround of counseling will be released for counseling in the 2ndRound itself in their respective categories

d. AIIMS Preferential seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) for AIIMS graduates shall be available amongst the UR seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty)

3. Every candidate shall be allocated his/her best choice available at that rank for the 2nd Round.

4. If at a particular rank for a candidate, the best choice of the candidate is available in both the open merit (unreserved) as well as a reserved category (wherever applicable) then the seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) shall be allocated under the unreserved category and not the reserved category.

a. Seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) in the reserved category for every candidate shall be allocated only there is no corresponding seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) available in the unreserved category for the best choice of the candidate available at that rank

b. If an PWBD (PWD) candidate gets a better choice in the open merit UR/OBC/SC/ST he/she will be given that choice.

5. For Persons with Disability (more than 40%) a 5% horizontal reservation shall be followed for the and seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) shall be allocated on basis of merit

a. PWD (PWBD) candidates are eligible only for the category to which he/she belongs i.e. If a candidate belongs to a reserved category, he /she is eligible for a seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) only under that category and not in the unreserved category (horizontal reservation)

i. Eligible PWBD candidate of UR category can avail a reserved Seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) only in the UR category

ii. Eligible PWBD candidate of OBC category can avail a reserved Seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) only in the OBC category

iii. Eligible PWBD candidate of SC category can avail a reserved Seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) only in the SC category

iv. Eligible PWBD candidate of ST category can avail a reserved Seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) only in the ST category

v. Eligible PWBD candidate of EWS category can avail a reserved Seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) on in the EWS Category

6. AIIMS preference Seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty): For AIIMS‐New Delhi the Institutional Preference shall be allocated according to the criteria mentioned in the Prospectus (page no 16).

7. Vacant PG Courses/Subject in earlier rounds of counselling can be allotted in subsequent rounds by following the above rules.

8. All those candidates who had chosen the option 2 and reported to the institute after declaration of the 1st round of Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course) as well as logged in at least once in the choice filling portal during were considered eligible for the 2nd Round of Counselling. In addition, all the candidates who were not allocated Seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) in 1st Round of Counselling as per their filled choices were considered eligible for 2nd Round of Counselling.

9. In case a candidate who had chosen option‐2 after the 1st Round of Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course) gets a better choice of Seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty), the released Seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) is offered to the next (remaining) eligible candidates as per merit order used for 2nd Round of Online Seat Allocation.

10. The Online Seat Allocation for the 2nd Round was done on the Seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) left vacant after the 1st Round of Online Seat Allocation.
