CPS Mumbai Urges State Medical Councils to Verify Certificates Before Granting Additional Qualification Registration
Mumbai- The College of Physicians and Surgeons (CPS) Mumbai has urged all State Medical Councils to conduct verification before granting additional qualification registration to CPS students pursuing CPS postgraduate (PG) courses.
In this regard, CPS has written a letter to all the state medical councils requesting them to send a copy of the certificates of the students coming for additional qualification to CPS for verification before granting them registration. Also, send a copy of the certificates of the CPS students already registered for verification.
Meanwhile, the list of the passed students is also uploaded on the official website of CPS, therefore, CPS asked all the state medical councils to check the list before granting certificates to the students.
Established in 1912, CPS Mumbai is an autonomous body that imparts Postgraduate medical education and offers fellowship, diploma, and certificate courses for medical professionals. For the Diploma courses, the tenure is two years; in case of Fellowship, the tenure is three years. After obtaining the qualification granted by CPS Mumbai, the practitioners are allowed to register themselves as specialists in the concerned speciality.
