BDS Admissions: KNRUHS Notifies on Web Options For Stray Vacancy Round

Telangana: Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) has issued a notification for exercising web options for the stray vacancy phase of counselling for BDS admission.

All the eligible candidates whose names are displayed in the Provisional final merit list for Management Quota on the KNRUHS website can exercise web options for admission into BDS seats from 05.00 P.M. on 25.10.2023 to 3.00 P.M. on 26.10.2023 through the website mentioned in the notice below.

Candidates whose names are notified in the provisional final merit list of MBBS/BDS Admissions under Management Quota notified on the KNRUHS website on 16.09.2023 are eligible to exercise web - options online from the computer with an internet connection subject to the following conditions –

1. The candidates who were allotted seats in the previous phases of counselling and have not reported/discontinued the BDS course at the respective college are not eligible for exercising web options.

2. Candidates who have not exercised web options in the first phase of counselling are not eligible to exercise web options.

3. The candidates who were allotted MBBS seats under KNRUHS/YSRUHS and All India Quota are not eligible to exercise web options.

4. Candidates who have joined the BDS course under Management Quota in the previous phases are not eligible to exercise web options.

5. The candidates who have joined the BDS course in the Competent Authority Quota counselling under KNRUHS are not eligible to exercise web options.

6. The candidates whose names are notified on the MCC website as admitted list of candidates after the Stray Vacancy phase of AIQ counseling are not eligible for exercising web options.

7. The candidates who have joined the BDS course under Dr YSRUHS are not eligible for exercising web options.

There is no limit to choices (number) for exercising web options. Candidates can exercise web options for any number of colleges they are interested in joining as per the candidate’s eligibility. Candidates must exercise web options for BDS seats in all colleges in which they are interested in joining. If candidates are not interested in joining any college, they should not exercise web options for the same.

Candidates have to exercise options for the B category and for the C (NRI) category in order of their priority for category and college. Allotments will be made according to the order of preference in the web options exercised by the candidate.

Candidates who have not registered for the C/NRI category but are interested in joining the C/NRI category seat by paying the "C" category fee can also exercise options for vacant C/NRI seats in this phase of counseling. The leftover C/NRI seats are open for allotment to “B” category registered candidates if NRI-registered candidates are not available.

One Time Password (OTP) will be sent to the registered mobile at the time of saving web options. The password consists of SIX letter code with English capitals A to Z (for details, read instructions to the candidates before giving options.

Candidates will receive an SMS message on their registered mobile after allotment of the seat if allotted. Candidates are also informed to log in to check their allotment status on through the website mentioned in the notice below after each phase of counselling.

Candidates who have not registered for the C/NRI category but are interested in admission into C/NRI category seats which have been leftover shall note that while exercising options they should exercise options for vacant seats in “B” category colleges first and later for vacant seats in C/NRI category colleges in the order of options.

In accordance with the GO.Ms.No. 130 HM&FW (C1) Department, dated: 27.09.2022, in Management Quota B Category, 85% of seats are reserved for local candidates of Telangana State, and 15% of seats are open to candidates from all over the country. 15% unreserved seats shall be allotted first, followed by seats reserved for local candidates. The seats in the Army College of Dental Sciences are reserved for the wards of Army personnel as per AWES regulations.

The selected candidates shall download the allotment letter from the website after payment of the University fee by gateway method by using an online payment method (Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking). Candidates should check their allotment details and report to the Principal of their respective college on or before the date specified on the allotment letter.

Selected candidates have to report to the Principal of the respective college before the last date for joining as specified on the allotment letter, submit all original certificates and relevant bonds and pay the tuition fee/college fee to complete the process of admission. If the candidate does not fulfil the above criteria to complete the admission process within the specified date for joining, the admission will be cancelled automatically, and the candidate will be considered as being part of seat blocking, and the candidate will have to pay the penalty of Rs. 20 lakhs and also debarred for 3 years for BDS admission under KNRUHS to prevent seat blocking.

The final verification of original certificates will be conducted at the allotted college. In case of any discrepancy, the provisional allotment will be cancelled, and action may be initiated as per University Regulations.

Candidates registered and allotted seats under the NRI category should produce the relevant sponsorship letter from an NRI relative in original, along with a copy of the Passport/ Residence proof/Bank statement or Passbook of the sponsor for the NRI category at respective colleges.

Candidates have to compulsorily join the allotted college without fail in this phase of counselling. Failure to join the course will be considered as being part of seat blocking, and the candidate has to pay the penalty of Rs. 20 lakhs and also debarred for 3 years for BDS admission under KNRUHS to prevent seat blocking.

Admitted candidates will have to pay a discontinuation penalty amount of Rs.20 lakhs as per Government Orders if they discontinue the course after the Stray vacancy phase of counselling to get their original certificates back. Candidates also will be debarred for 3 years for BDS admission under KNRUHS to prevent seat blocking.

University fee –

Allotted Candidates have to pay the following University fees through the payment gateway by using an online payment method (Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking) and download the allotment letter. Candidates who have paid the University fee in the previous phases of Management Quota need not pay again.

For B- Category - Rs. 20,000=00

For C-Category (NRI) - Rs. 40,000=00

Tuition fee –

Tuition fee is to be paid at respective Dental colleges. The tuition fee payable as notified by the Government of Telangana in GO Ms No:106, HM& FW (C1) Department, Dated:28. 07.2023 (notified on KNRUHS website).

Seats vacant –

29 seats are vacant for the stray vacancy phase of counselling for BDS admission. The college-wise seat matrix is enclosed in the notice below.
