"If I die, the teachers of PCP and Dental material are to blame. They are responsible for my death. I want them to go behind the bars. They mental tortured me. They humiliated me. Her family members have alleged that their daughter committed suicide after the accused teachers falsely accused their daughter of forging signatures on her assignments and books. They claimed that as a result, she was repeatedly taunted by the teachers and was even threatened with failing her in her exams and preventing her from appearing in practicals and other examinations.

Following her death, the police have arrested the two concerned in connection with the case based on a written complaint filed by the student's family. They have been taken into custody.

Meanwhile, several videos are going viral on social media showing students protesting against the university administration by raising slogans and demanding justice for the deceased student at night. The students, mostly hostel residents, had gathered for a late-night protest inside the campus and outside the university soon after they heard about the tragic death of their fellow student.

The incident took place on Friday and came to light when Knowledge Park Police Station received information that a female student had died by suicide by hanging herself at a hostel of Sharda University. She was rushed to the hospital where she was declared brought dead on arrival. Following this, the police sent her body for postmortem. After this, they reached her room and conducted a preliminary investigation which led to the recovery of the suicide note.

The deceased student's brother told Mint, “1 week ago, one professor claimed that my sister forged signatures on her assignments and books, due to which my father came here on Monday. He spoke with the professor and the HOD... My father talked to my sister yesterday morning. After this, we didn't speak. Later, from her batchmates, we learned that teachers taunted her, saying she was an expert in forging signatures. They also threatened to fail my sister and prevent her from taking practicals and exams. She was pressured. So, she had to make this decision. The police did a lathi charge on us, my family members.”

Her mother told Mint, “I want justice for my daughter. Call CM Yogi and PM Modi. Whenever any incident happens at this university, both Yogi and Modi come. Since yesterday at 9 pm, I have been sitting here. I will not leave until I get justice. Do whatever you want — burn me alive or shut this place down. Police lathi-charged us, which is wrong... All BDS students are scared and want to go to their houses.”

NDTV reported that Sharda University, in a statement,t said "A high power inquiry committee has been constituted to ascertain the circumstances leading to the incident and to recommend any further institutional measures. The University is fully cooperating with statutory authorities conducting their own processes. All required documentation and access have been extended, we will continue to cooperate transparently."

Her death has shocked the internet and the dental student community, sparking widespread concern over student mental health and toxic behavior by faculty members. While many questioned, “How many more young lives must be lost before institutions take mental health and toxic faculty behavior seriously? When will this end?”, others called it a case of systematic negligence and demanded immediate action.
