CEE Kerala invites options for NEET MDS stray vacancy round, details

Kerala : The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala has announced that the online stray vacancy allotment for admission in Post Graduate Dental Courses-2025 in Dental Colleges in the State has commenced.

This allotment will be conducted to fill up the currently available GENERAL CATEGORY vacant seats and vacancies arising, if any. The net vacant seats due to Un-allotted/Non joining after the Third round is published herewith. Candidate shall register options to any seats they wish to join, if allotted, irrespective of the vacancy status notified. Reservation /Category seats are not available , as the unallotted seats were converted during the final phase of centralised allotment as per MDS Prospectus 2025 clause 18.1.1.

Candidate who have applied afresh for admission to PG Dental Course due to lowering of minimum qualifying percentile vide this office Notification dated 20.08.2025 can also register options for considering them in this stray vacancy allotment. However, those eligible candidates who are included in the Kerala State Merit List will only be considered for allotment. The State Merit List of the newly qualified candidates due to lowering of the percentile will be published. The options for admission to PG Dental Courses 2025 in the State can be registered through the (CEE KERALA) Website till 31.08.2025, 11.59 PM.

Candidates may enter their Application Number & Password in the link ‘PG Dental 2025 Candidate Portal’ provided in the above website to log on to their home page. By clicking the menu ‘Stray Vacancy Registration’ candidates can register their options. The allotment will be based on the rank list and the online options received up to 11.59 PM on 31.08.2025. Candidates who get allotment shall have to join the allotted colleges by paying the fees to the allotted college.

Conditions for Participating in Stray Vacancy Allotment:

♦ There will be fresh option registration for stray vacancy filling. Candidates who vacated the seat after 13.08.2025, 04.00 PM are not eligible for participating in the stray vacancy filling.

♦ Those candidates who have been included in the MCC list of allotted/admitted candidates after the Third round/stray round allotment are not eligible for participating in the state stray vacancy allotment.

♦ Candidates who joined the allotted seats through the allotments conducted by CEE and still continuing in the allotted seat are not eligible for participating in the stray vacancy filling.

♦ Candidates who have been allotted seats in the third round are not eligible to participate in the stray vacancy filling.

♦ Candidates already holding a seat/joined or allotted through AIQ/ State Counselling including Private/Deemed quota seats are not eligible to participate in this Stray Vacancy Allotment.

Registration Fee :-

There will be separate Registration fee for stray vacancy counselling. The registration fee amounting to the annual tuition fee of the seat opted, if opted only for government seats, or an amount of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees One lakh only), if opted also for private self-financing colleges will be set as registration fee. Those candidates who have paid any Registration fee to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations through previous rounds of counselling, but not allotted any seat, have to pay the balance amount, if any, as Stray Vacancy Registration fee. Those who got allotment in the first and second round but did not join and those who vacated the seat in the first and second round allotments shall have to pay registration fee afresh as mentioned above. For SC/ST/OEC and other eligible candidates having fee concession, the registration fee will be half of the above amounts respectively. The registration fee paid for stray vacancy allotment will be adjusted in the fee of the course, if the candidates gets an allotment or else will be refunded after the end of counselling. The registration fee paid for stray vacancy phase of those candidates who do not join the seat allotted in stray vacancy filling allotment will be treated as penalty and will not be refunded. Liquidated damages will also be applicable as per MDS 2025 Prospectus clause 19.5.

Candidates allotted to courses, and who remit the fee/balance fee as prescribed, should take admission in the college/course allotted as per the schedule prescribed by the CEE. Extension of time for reporting to the college will not be granted.

Note:

1. Candidates who belong to SC/ST/OEC/Children of Fisherman/Inmates of Sri Chithra home, Nirbhaya home, Juvenile home are exempted from payment of fees.

2. If any candidate (including SC/ST/OEC Student) discontinue the PG Dental course after stray vacancy counselling, shall have to pay liquidated damages as stipulated in prospectus clause 19.5. If a service candidate discontinues the PG Dental course after the stray vacancy counselling, shall have to pay liquidated damages as per clause 11.5.
