Delhi: The Dental Council of India (DCI) has announced the conduction of a screening test by the National Board of Examinations (NBE), New Delhi, for the Indian citizen or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI). The detailed examination schedule has been announced.

The screening test will be conducted for the Indian citizen or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) possessing a primary dental qualification/PG Diploma/Post Graduate Dental qualification awarded by any dental institution outside India, who is desirous of getting registration with any State Dental Council or of any other purpose as specified by the Dental Council of India from time to time.

Examinations Dates –

1. FDST (UG) 2023: 20th January 2024

2. FDST (MDS / PG Diploma) 2023: 16th March 2024

The process of application –

Desirous candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria laid down in ‘Dental Council of India Screening Test Regulations, 2009’ will have to submit their fully filled-in application form (available on the DCI website) by 10th December 2023 containing relevant particulars and accompanied with requisite fee and relevant documents for the assessment of the candidate for appearing in the Screening Test.

Interested candidates can download the application form from the official DCI website. Complete applications should be submitted to the DCI office within the stipulated time frame.

Candidates who have previously appeared for the examination but were either unsuccessful or absent may also apply to DCI by paying the requisite fee.

The eligible candidates will also be informed by the DCI separately. All the eligible candidates declared by the DCI may go through with the DCI Screening Test Regulations, 2009, available on the DCI’s website for the purpose of the syllabus of the DCI Screening test Examination. The National Board of Examinations, New Delhi, will directly issue the admit card to all the eligible candidates for appearing in the Screening Test. The schedule of examination has been uploaded by the NBE, New Delhi, on its website.

Late applications or those without the requisite fee will not be considered.  

Requisite fee –

A non-refundable fee of Rs.11,800/- (including 18% GST) must be paid by NEFT / IMPS in the bank account of the Dental Council of India. The detail of the bank account is mentioned in the notice below.
