DME Chhattisgarh Invites New Applications For BDS Admission
Chattisgarh: The Director of Medical Education (DME Chhattisgarh) invited new online applications for BDS admission.
Per the notice, the application window will be opened today (22.12.2022), 5:00 pm till 25.12.2022, 5:00 pm. These new applications are invited because few candidates have petitioned the court to open the application window.
DME has further notified that for the stay round, the last date for admission is 28.12.2022, so the candidates are requested to gather the necessary documents and the fees to be paid so that the admission can be completed on time.
After the mop-up round for the stay-round vacant seats, the DME should receive the list of candidates. The candidates applying fresh will not have the option of choice filling.
Recently the mop-up round for BDS admission concluded. The last date for allotted candidates to join was 18.12.2022. The admission process for MBBS was carried out at Shri Balaji Medical College Raipur, Raipur Institute of Medical Science, Raipur, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Smriti Chikitsa Mahavidyalaya Raipur, and Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Medical Sciences Bhilai.
Eligibility criteria –
1. Candidates must be citizens of India.
2. Candidates must not be less than 17 years old on or before 31st December 2022.
3. Candidates must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as their core subjects.
4. Candidates must be NEET UG qualified.
The counseling process for BDS admission is carried out by DME only. The candidates should not fall prey to any institute or individual claiming admission. All the related details will be published on the website www.cgdme.in, so the candidates should follow it regularly.
The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) is being conducted by NTA for admission to undergraduate medical education, with the approval of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and MHRD. The Directorate of Medical Education conducts NEET UG counseling. The admissions are based on NEET UG. The seat allotment is done based on the choices filled by candidates, reservation, state merit rank, NEET UG marks, and other factors.
DME is the administrative body of Chhattisgarh and overlooks Medical Education in the State through Medical and Dental Colleges. It plays a pivotal role in developing medical and para-medical personnel to cater to the health needs of the State. Research is another area of activity for the Medical Education Department.
