MDS Admissions 2021: UP DGME releases Round 2 counselling schedule

Lucknow: The Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME) Uttar Pradesh has released the Schedule of Second Round of Online Counseling of UP NEET MDS admissions for the session 2021.

The students who are seeking admission for MDS are informed that the online registration process will be commenced from 20th October 2021.

The Time Schedule for the Admission through Online counseling in the State Uttar Pradesh for Government Dental College/ Private Dental Colleges/Institutions /Universities for Postgraduate MDS Courses is as follows:-

Date of Online Registration

20th October 2021 (From 2:00 PM) To 23rd October 2021 (Till 2:00 PM)

Date of Security fee deposition

20th October 2021 To 24th October 2021

Expected date of Declaration of Merit List

23rd October 2021

Date of Online Choice Filling

26th October 2021 (From 1 1:00 AM) to 27th October 2021(Till 2:00 PM)

Declaration of the result of seat allotment

28th /29th October 2021

Date for downloading allotment letters and admission date

29th October 2021 to 03rd November 2021

For PH Candidates, please see the Government of India Notice dated 15-02-2019 which was regarding the guidelines for admission. The notice states "all candidates participating in the PG Counselling 2019 for MD/ MS/ Diploma/ MDS courses that the Board of Governors in Supersession of Medical Council of India has issued Guidelines regarding the admission of students with "Specified Disabilities" under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. Annexure-II, of the notice, contains the list of centers that will issue the Disability Certificate."

The directorate facilitates a comprehensive medical education via various medical, dental, and paramedical colleges in the state of Uttar Pradesh. on the other hand, it also provides standard medical facilities to the patients.

Formation of the directorate of medical education: The department of medical education was bifurcated in the year 1981 from the department of medical health services. The separate directorate of Medical Education was established in 1994. It is functioning as a separate directorate for the last 16 years. It controls Medical Colleges and attached teaching hospitals.
