NEET MDS 2025: UP DGME Releases Round 1 Online Counselling Schedule, Check Guidelines
Uttar Pradesh- The Uttar Pradesh Director General, Medical Education & Training (UPDGME) has released the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) first round of Online Counselling schedule for the academic year 2025.
As per the schedule, the NEET MDS 2025 1st round of Online Counselling will begin from 01st July 2025 and will end on 14th July 2025. In which, the online registration and deposition of the registration fee and security Fee process will be done from 01st to 04th July 2025. Following this, the merit list will be declared on 04th July 2025 and the seat allotment result will be declared on 08th July 2025.
Meanwhile, the online choice filling process will be done from 04th to 07th July 2025. After this, the candidates can download the allotment letters and start the admission process from 09th July 2025. Below is the detailed schedule-

Along with this, UPDGME has also released a notification detailing the important information and instructions for the candidates participating in the first round of online counselling of UP NEET-MDS 2025.
According to the notification, only the candidates declared successful in the NEET MDS-2025 entrance examination are eligible to participate in the counselling of UP NEET MDS 2025. All the eligible candidates participating in the counselling of NEET MDS-2025 will have to register by logging on to the departmental official website.
The candidate must deposit the registration fee of Rs. 3,000/- through online mode. However, the registration fee will not be refunded under any circumstances, i.e. the registration fee is non-refundable. In addition, the candidates must also deposit the Rs. 30,000 security amount for the government sector and Rs 1,00,000 for the private sector through online mode. Otherwise, the candidates will not be eligible for choice filling. Meanwhile, on depositing security money of Rs. 1,00,000 for participating in counselling, the candidates will be eligible for seats in dental colleges in both government and private sectors.
The candidate should fill out the online choice based on his/her preference for allotment of seats in government/private sector dental colleges. The candidate should fill in the choice of only those colleges in which he/she is interested in taking admission. There is no limit for online choice filling. It is mandatory to lock the choices after online choice filling. Otherwise, the candidate will automatically be out of the seat allocation process. The entire responsibility for this will be on the candidate himself.
Moreover, candidates allotted to private sector dental colleges must deposit the tuition fee determined by the government/minority institution through a CTS bank draft issued in favour of the UPDGME at the concerned nodal centre. The tuition fee determined by the government and the fee structure of minority institutions are available on the departmental website.
The private sector dental colleges are free to charge less than the tuition fee prescribed by the Government, but in respect of charging less than the prescribed tuition fee, it will be mandatory for the representative of the dental college to submit an undertaking to the said effect in respect of the concerned candidate to the concerned nodal officer.
The admission process of candidates allotted to government sector seats will be completed at the level of the concerned university. The admission process of candidates allotted seats in private sector dental colleges will be conducted at the designated nodal centres. The list of nodal centres is displayed in the brochure issued for counselling of NEET MDS 2025, which is available on the departmental website.
Apart from this, the Other Backwards Classes and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) candidates of Uttar Pradesh are informed that while completing the admission process, it is mandatory for them to have an Other Backwards Classes and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) certificate dated 01 April 2025 or after.
All certificates related to reservation, i.e. OBC, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Economically Weaker Section, will be valid only if issued by the competent authority of Uttar Pradesh on the format prescribed by the Uttar Pradesh Government.
The reservation certificate will not be valid in the form of a certificate submitted for appointment to posts under the Government of India. Disability certificates of handicapped persons will be valid only if issued by the centres designated by MCC and on the prescribed format.
The allotted candidates must submit all their educational/reservation-related and other certificates in original at the time of admission at the allotted Government Dental College/concerned Nodal Centre.
The allotted candidates must appear in person at the Government Dental College / concerned nodal centre for admission. It is mandatory for the allotted candidates to undergo medical examination by the Medical Board constituted at the Dental College/Nodal Centre.
