NEET MDS: TN Health notifies Stray vacancy round schedule, registrations end September 2
Chennai: The Tamil Nadu Medical Education Department (TN Health) has released the tentative schedule for the stray round counselling of MDS courses for the 2025-26 session in Tamil Nadu.
The counselling will cover seats in government dental colleges, as well as government, management, and minority quota seats in self-financing dental colleges, with online registration and choice filling open till September 2, 2025

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
♦ All candidates should read the Prospectus thoroughly before starting choice filling.
Non Eligibility to participate in this counseling
♦ The candidate who joined the course through State Quota counseling of Round-1 & Round-2 & Round-3 (Mop-up)
♦ The candidate who was allotted a seat through State Quota Counseling of Round-3 (Mop-up)
♦ The candidate who joined the course through All India counseling of Round-1, Round 2 & Round-3 (Mop-up)
♦ The candidate who was allotted a seat through All India counseling of Stray Vacancy Round
Eligible candidate to participate in this counseling
♦ All the candidates who do not satisfy the above criteria for non- eligibility are eligible for stray round counseling.
(a) Candidates who have been allotted and not joined / resigned (Round 1 and Round 2) have to pay registration fee to participate in Stay Round
(b) Candidate who freshly register for Stay Round also need to pay registration fee.
(c) Only candidates who have not been allotted in Round1,2 & Round 3 (Mop Up) need not pay registration fees.
♦ At the time of registration, the fresh candidate will have to pay Refundable Security Deposit (If already paid, need not pay again) for Government Quota:
For Government Dental Colleges – Rs.30,000/-
For Government Quota seats in Self-Financing Dental Colleges - Rs.1,00,000/-
♦ At the time of registration, the fresh candidate will have to pay Refundable Security Deposit (If already paid, need not pay again) for Management Quota:
For Management Quota including Minority/ NRI Category seats in Self-Financing Dental Colleges - Rs.2,00,000/-
♦ All candidates should read the Prospectus thoroughly before starting choice filling.
♦ Candidates should be careful while choice filling.
♦ Choice Filling: Candidates will have the option of choice filling for all the seats for which they have applied to. For example, if a candidate has applied for both Government and management quota he will have choices for both Government as well as Management quota. The candidates are encouraged to analyze all the choices available and fill their choices in order of their preference.
♦ Candidates can edit their choices any number of times before locking, but once locked they will not be allowed to edit. Hence candidates are requested to check their choices and the order of preference before locking.
♦ If the candidate does not lock his/her choices till the last date (02-09-2025 5.00 PM) their choices will be automatically locked.

♦ Selection committee does not take responsibility of Connectivity error and Procedural error.
♦ Admission to MDS courses shall be made by the ONLINE COUNSELLING on the basis of rank by applying the rule of reservation.
♦ Request for change of course or College, from one to another is not permitted after final locking.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR DOWNLOADING ALLOTMENT ORDER:
♦ The freshly allotted candidates have to pay the Tuition Fee for downloading the Provisional allotment order through online via Debit Card / Credit Card/Net Banking.
♦ Fee structure is available in the official website Tamil Nadu dental colleges selection.
♦ All candidates should make sure, sufficient fund is available at their bank account with expanded credit limit while remitting their Tuition Fee.
♦ The allotted candidates should download their provisional allotment order and join the course in the concerned Dental College/Institution on or before the stipulated date and time as mentioned in the Provisional Allotment Order.
REPORTING TO ALLOTTED COLLEGE:
♦ The candidates should produce their ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES in person at the time of joining in their selected Colleges along with the scanned copy of original certificates for verification.
♦ If you do not report to the Head of the Institution to which you are allotted on or before the time and date specified, your selection and / or admission will be cancelled without any further notice.
♦ The Candidate selected for admission should give a self-declaration form at the time of the reporting to the concerned College that he/she is liable for forfeiture of selection / admission if suppression of facts, mis-interpretation is found at any time during or after the admission to the course.
♦ Candidates are advised to be in touch with our official websites Tamil Nadu dental colleges selection for Schedule / latest updates / Results / Notices / News & Events pertaining to counseling as Selection Committee will not be individually contacting the candidates for the same.
♦ No communication will be directly sent to the Candidate(s). They are advised to be in touch with the website on regular basis for any updates.
