No change in NEET MDS 2024 Rank: NBE issues notice on revised results after reduction in qualifying percentile

New Delhi- The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has notified about the revised results for the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) 2024 exam.

NEET-MDS 2024 was conducted on March 18, 2024, in a single session through a computer-based platform at various examination centres across the country and the result was declared on April 03, 2024, by NBEMS. Recently, the result has been revised after the minimum qualifying percentile was reduced by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, (MoHFW) Government of India.

The notice stated, "Candidature is purely provisional subject to fulfilment of eligibility criteria as mentioned in the NEET-MDS 2024 Information Bulletin.  It may be noted that there is no change in the NEET-MDS 2024 Rank as published on 03rd April 2024."

Below are the detailed minimum qualifying percentile of the NEET-MDS 2024 exam-

Along with this, the rank of NEET MDS is based on the overall qualifying position of the candidate among all the candidates who appeared in NEET-MDS 2024, therefore, there is no change in the NEET-MDS 2024 Rank.

On this, the MoHFW has recently addressed a letter to the Executive Director of the National Board of Medical Examination in Medical Sciences (NBMES) and the Deputy Director General (ME) of the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC).

Through the letter, the MoHFW has informed that the ministry has decided to reduce the cut-off percentile to qualify for NEET MDS 2024. The cut-off percentile will be reduced by 21.692 percentile for each category i.e. General, SC, ST, OBC and UR-PWD. Of these, the cut-off percentile for general is 28.308, for SC, ST and OBC is 18.308 and UR-PWD is 23.308. 

Meanwhile, the NEET MDS counselling was recently concluded from July 1, 2024, to September 14, 2024.
