No Online Registrations Received For 2nd Stray Vacancy NEET MDS Admission: DME Chhattisgarh
Chhattisgarh: The Director of Medical Education (DME Chhattisgarh) has announced that no online registrations have been received for 2nd stray vacancy NEET MDS admission.
According to the guidelines issued by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for special stray vacancy round, the registration portal was opened for fresh registration between 12.1.2023 to 13.1.2023. But during this period, no registrations have been received, so no merit list has been issued. MCC had declared the last date for admission as 14.1.2023.
Per the previous notification, the process of scrutiny and admission was supposed to be carried out today (14.1.2023). The colleges were asked to finish the admission process till 5:00 pm on 14th January 2023, and the details related to the admitted candidates must be mailed to cgdme.student@gmail.com till 11:59 pm on 14th January 2023. 4 seats in private dental colleges were left vacant. The candidates allotted seats in round 1 and round 2 were not eligible.
Eligibility criteria –
1. Candidates must have qualified for NEET MDS 2022.
2. Candidates must be citizens of India.
3. Candidates must have passed BDS from a recognized medical/dental college.
NEET-MDS is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination for admission to various MDS Courses under the Dentists Act 1948 (amended from time to time). No other entrance examination, either at the state or the Institution level, is valid for entry to MDS courses. Qualifying for NEET-MDS is mandatory for entry to MDS courses under various Universities/ Institutions in the country.
The Directorate of Medical Education conducts NEET MDS counseling. The admissions are based on NEET MDS. The seat allotment is done based on the choices filled by candidates, reservation, state merit rank, NEET MDS 2022 marks, and other factors.
DME is the administrative body of Chhattisgarh and overlooks Medical Education in the State through Medical and Dental Colleges. It plays a pivotal role in developing medical and para-medical personnel to cater to the state's health needs. Research is another area of activity for the Medical Education Department.
