UP DGME Releases NEET MDS 2024 Special Stray Vacancy Counselling Schedule, Registrations Start Today

Uttar Pradesh- The Uttar Pradesh Director General of Medical Education (UP DGME) has released the schedule for the special stray vacancy round of online counselling for UP National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) 2024.

As per the schedule, the registration and submission of registration and security fee for the Special Stray Vacancy Round of online counselling for UP NEET MDS 2024 has started today i.e. 15th October 2024 at 11:00 am and will end on 18th October 2024 at 11:00 am.

The merit list will be declared on 18th October 2024 after the completion of the registration process. After this, the choice-filling process will start on 18 October 2024 at 2:00 pm and continue till 21 October 2024 at 11:00 am. The result of seat allotment will be declared on 21 October 2024. After this, candidates can download the allotment letters as well the admission process will start on 22nd to 25th October 2024.

To participate in the special vacancy round, it is mandatory for all the eligible candidates to make fresh registration by paying Rs. 2000/- as an online registration fee separately.

Along with this, UPDGME has also released essential guidelines regarding online counselling of special stray vacancy rounds under UP NEET MDS-2024. Below are the guidelines-

GUIDELINES

1 Only those candidates will be eligible for the Special Stray Vacancy Round, who have not been allotted any seat in the counselling of any phase of UP NEET MDS-2024.

2 Candidates admitted through any round of All India Counselling of NEET MDS-2024 will not be eligible for the Special Stray Vacancy Round.

3 Such candidates who have not participated in the counselling of previous rounds, i.e., those who are participating in the counselling of Special Stray Vacancy Round for the first time, will have to deposit the security amount of Rs. 1,00,000/- for the seats of MDS courses in private sector dental colleges and Rs. 30,000/- for the seats in government sector dental colleges as per the rules.

4 Candidates registered and unallocated in the earlier rounds of counselling of UP NEET MDS-2024, who have already deposited the security amount, will not be required to deposit the security amount again to participate in the counselling of the Special Stray Vacancy Round.

5 All the candidates allotted from the Special Stray Vacancy Round will have to submit all the original educational/reservation-related certificates at the allotted dental college/nodal centre at the time of admission, otherwise, the candidate's admission will not be considered. If a candidate does not take admission after allotment from the Special Stray Vacancy Round, Then the security amount deposited by such candidates will be confiscated and UP NEET.

6 MDS counselling will be banned for 2025-26. It will be mandatory for the candidates allotted to private sector dental colleges to deposit the CTS bank draft of the tuition fee determined by the government, which is issued in favour of the Director General, Medical Education and Training, Uttar Pradesh at the concerned nodal centre, otherwise the admission will be considered automatically cancelled. The tuition fee is determined by the government and the fee of minority institutions.

7 It will be mandatory for the candidates allotted through the Special Stray Vacancy Round to report to the concerned Dental College after taking admission at the Nodal Centre.

8 The special stray vacancy round counselling process will be conducted only under the provisions contained in the Government Order dated 09 July 2024 and the brochure issued regarding policy formulation for NEET PG 2024.
