DNB Final Theory Exams 2023: NBE specifies last date for submission of Thesis by DNB Broad Specialty Post MBBS Trainees

New Delhi : Through a recent notice, National Board of Examination, (NBE) has informed regarding the last date for submission of thesis by DNB/DrNB trainees who are going to appear for forthcoming DNB Final Theory Examinations - March/April 2023

DNB Broad Specialty (Post MBBS) Trainees of 2020 admission session and Accredited Institutions are hereby informed that as per NBEMS norms, writing a Thesis is essential for all DNB trainees towards the partial fulfillment of eligibility for Diplomate of National Board (DNB) Degree.

DNB Broad Specialty (Post MBBS) Trainees of 2020 admission session have been scheduled to appear in DNB Final Theory Examination - March/April 2023 as already notified vide NBEMS notice. National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) shall conduct the DNB/DrNB Final Theory Examination of December 2022 on 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 24th December 2022 at various examination centers across the country

Application form for DNB/DrNB Final Examinations – December 2022 can be submitted only online at https://natboard.edu.in from 29th October 2022 (3 PM onwards) to 18th November 2022 (Till 11:55 PM).

1. The joining of DNB Post MBBS Broad specialty and DrNB Superspecialty trainees for 2020 admission session was delayed due to COVID-19 pandemic.

2. Taking aforesaid into consideration, the tentative timelines for conduct of DNB/DrNB Final Examinations to be held in year 2023 and the batches of trainees scheduled to appear in these examinations are as under:

3. DNB Broad Specialty (Post MBBS) Trainees of 2020 admission session SHALL NOT be eligible to appear in DNB/DrNB Final Theory Examination scheduled to be held on 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 24th December 2022.

4. The candidates are advised to check the exact dates of examinations from the Information Bulletins/ NBEMS website as and when the information bulletins and application forms for respective examinations are announced.

5. Please refer to NBEMS website https://natboard.edu.in and https://nbe.edu.in for Information Bulletins, Application Forms, eligibility criteria and other details of these examinations as and when notified.

In the light of the above, the last date for submission of Thesis by DNB Broad Specialty (Post MBBS) Trainees of 2020 admission session and the candidate desirous to appear in DNB Final Theory Examination - March/April 2023 shall be 31st of December, 2022.

No extension shall be given, and those trainees who do not submit their Thesis by the 31st of December, 2022, shall be rendered 'ineligible' to appear in DNB Final Theory Examination - March/April 2023.
