FMGE December 2025: NBE extends deadline to submit deficient documents, check details
New Delhi: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced an extension of the deadline for submission of deficient documents for candidates appearing in the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) December 2025 session.
According to the official notice issued by the NBEMS in this regard, the last date for submission of deficient documents has now been extended to 07 January 2026 (11:55 PM).
Hence, one or more deficiencies of the following nature are noted during the determination of the eligibility of the candidates-
1 Primary Medical Qualification Degree certificate/Provisional Pass Certificate duly apostilled/attested by the Embassy of India in the country from where the primary medical qualification has been obtained.
2 Eligibility Certificate issued by the NMC / MCI (If applicable) / Admission Letter / Proof of qualifying NEET-UG.
3 Proof of Citizenship.
4 Mismatch in Name/Date of Birth in documents submitted.
5 Supportive documents for transfer from one medical institution to another.
However, specific deficiencies have been communicated to the respective candidates by NBEMS through email.
The notice further instructed that the pursuant to the recommendations of the National Medical Commission and approval of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India, only eligible candidates will be allowed to appear in the FMGE.

Meanwhile, according to earlier released schedule, NBEMS is going to close the final selective edit window for the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) December 2025 session today, i.e. December 31, 2025. Eligible candidates can make corrections to their FMGE application forms through the official NatBoard website. The candidates who fail to submit the required documents will not be allowed to appear for the examination.
STEPS TO EDIT FMGE APPLICATION FORM
STEP 1- Visit the official NBE FMGE website.
STEP 2- Click on the FMGE link and log in with your credentials.
STEP 3- View your FMGE 2025 application form.
STEP 4- Make necessary corrections in documents and details.
STEP 5- Verify all added and corrected details carefully.
STEP 6- Click Submit.
STEP 7- Download the rectified application form for reference.
Following this, the test city for eligible candidates will be announced, while admit cards are scheduled be issued on January 14, 2026. The FMGE for the December 2025 session will be conducted across India on January 17, 2026, and the results are expected by February 17, 2026. The complete schedule is given below-
