FMGE Panic: NBE sends different exam centres via SMS, email, candidates seek urgent clarity

"Please make a note that you have been allocated JAMMU AND KASHMIR, SRINAGAR as test city for FMGE December 2025. Kindly make your travel arrangements accordingly. Test City intimation does not confirm the eligibility to appear in the exam. Admit cards are provided only to the eligible candidates. The test center venue in the test city allocated shall be indicated in the hall ticket which shall be issued on 14.01.2026," read the NBEMS mail.

Meanwhile, the SMS read, "The test city allotted to you for FMGE December 2025 is West Bengal, Kolkata."

Sharing such contradictory intimation from NBEMS regarding the FMGE test centre, Dr. Khan wrote in the X post, "NBEMS has sent two different exam centres one via SMS and another via email for FMGE This confusion is causing panic among students Exam after 15 days, Where to Report? Requesting NBEMS to resolve this issue at the earliest."

Speaking to Medical Dialogues, Dr. Khan said, "With the FMGE scheduled in just 15 days, this discrepancy has led to widespread panic and anxiety among students, who are unsure which centre they are required to report to on the exam day. Many candidates fear that reporting to the wrong venue could cost them a crucial attempt."

"Students have taken to social media and student forums, urging the authorities to take immediate corrective action and issue a clear, unified confirmation of the allotted exam centre. In view of the seriousness of the issue and the limited time left before the examination, students and student bodies have requested NBEMS to urgently clarify and resolve the discrepancy at the earliest, to ensure a smooth and stress-free examination process," he added.
