INI CET July 2023: PGIMER to hold Spot Round On 31st August, details

Chandigarh: Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER) has announced the conduction of a spot round for admission to INI CET (MD, MS) Courses for the July 2023 Session on 31st August 2023.

As per the notice, the candidates who have qualified for the INI-CET (July 2023), conducted by AIIMS, New Delhi and have not joined or held any seat in INIs for the July 2023 session are eligible for this round. This round will be held at Bhargava Auditorium, PGIMER, Chandigarh.

The detailed schedule –

1. 09:00 AM to 11:00 AM - Reporting for certificate verification and submitting an undertaking

2. 12:00 Noon - Displaying the list of the candidates who are eligible for spot counseling

3. 01:00 PM - Counseling of eligible candidates

Eligible and interested candidates are requested to be seated in the auditorium at 09:00 AM on 31.08.2023. No candidate will be entertained for spot counseling after 11:00 AM, 31.08.2023.

All the candidates who have been allocated any seat in any previous round of seat allocation and have joined/reported on an allocated seat in any previous round of seat allocation and holding that seat are not eligible for the Spot Counseling and Spot Admission.

The candidates with minimum percentile in INI-CET (July-2023) as mentioned below against each category and not joined or held any seat in INIs for July 2023 session are eligible to attend the Spot Counseling –

1. For seats under Unreserved (UR), Foreign Nationals, including Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), will be 50th percentile.

2. For OBC, SC, ST, PwBD, and Bhutanese Nationals, seats will be 45th percentile.

Spot Counseling for reserved category candidates, i.e. PwBD, RAS, SC, ST and OBC, will be done prior to General Category Candidates. The seats that remained vacant under the Reserve Category will be filled against the General Category.

In the case of Rural Area Services candidates, seats shall be allotted on a horizontal basis. As per provisions (Chapter VI Clause 32) of the Rights of the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities Act 2016, five percent seats shall be allotted on a horizontal basis. The disability certificate of candidates should be issued by the authorized Medical Board of the State Govt./Govt. of India or any other Competent authority authorized in this regard by the state/Government of India.

Candidates provisionally eligible and willing to attend the Spot Counseling should have to bring all the original documents with them, and those who will opt for the seat during the counseling will have to join immediately on the same day, i.e. 31.08.2023 and also have to submit the original documents at the time of counseling.

Foreign National/Bhutanees Nationals seats will not be converted against any other category. No Foreign National/Bhutanees Nationals candidate will be allowed to join the MD/MS course without registration with the National Commission of India.

Selected candidates will have to deposit the course fee/security amounting to Rs. 4470/- through a debit card on the spot to provisionally confirm their seat. Any seat accrued till the date of holding counseling will be filled up, and this will change the status of seats available indicated in this notice. Hence, the above seats are tentative and are subject to change.

If it is established at any time during the process of Seat allocation of INI-CET July 2023 or later that the applicant has deliberately furnished incorrect information for the purpose of falsification, it shall be treated as an attempt to cheat, and the candidature shall be annulled, and further legal and disciplinary actions will be taken.

List of documents/Certificates that are required to be deposited in Original along with one set of self-attested photocopies –

1. INI-CET (July-2023) Scorecard

2. Final Registration Slip

3. Admit Card issued by AIIMS New Delhi

4. Mark Sheets of MBBS/ 1st, 2nd and 3rd Professional Examinations

5. MBBS/ Degree Certificate

6. Internship Completion Certificate/Certificate from the Head of Institution or College that the candidate will be completing the internship by 30th June 2023

7. Permanent/Provisional Registration Certificate issued by MCI or DCI/State Medical

8. High School/Higher Secondary Certificate/Birth Certificate as proof of date of birth (Matriculation)

The candidate should also bring the following certificate, if applicable –

1. SC/ST: Original Certificates issued by the competent authority

2. OBC: Original Certificates should be issued between 08.05.2022 to 07.05.2023 (inclusive of both dates) by the competent authority and should be in English or Hindi in language. The community should be clearly mentioned in the certificate

3. RAS: Rural Area Service Certificate issued by the concerned District Magistrate

4. PwBD Certificate issued by the competent authority

The following are the conditions considered as submitting the false information –

1. Submitting a document that is not issued between dates as prescribed in the prospectus and submitted by a candidate to obtain eligibility despite knowing the fact that certification is not valid as not issued as prescribed in the prospectus.

2. Applying in anticipation of obtaining the desired qualification and not obtaining it on the date as required.

3. False reporting on caste, age, gender, date of acquiring eligibility, date of completion of internship.

4. Any other information that is not true as required in the prospectus/ notice and submitted in order to dispute at a later stage.
