Interim fee structure released for MBBS, PG Medical, Dental, Nursing courses at Private institutes in Puducherry, details
Puducherry: The Fee Committee in Puducherry has released the interim fee structure for MBBS, PG medical, Dental and Nursing courses in unaided self-financing private medical, dental, and paramedical colleges in the Union Territory.
As per the notice, in order to comply with the timeline set by the National Medical Commission, the counselling for admission has to be commenced immediately. Hence, the Fee Committee had been requested to fix an interim fee so as to proceed the counselling process.
Therefore, in order to forgo the undue delay in the counselling process and until final fee is arrived at by the Fee Committee after considering all factors, the Chairman, Fee Committee has consented the request of the Government to fix the interim fee as adopted in the previous year as detailed below: -
For Post Graduate Medical Courses, following is the fee structure:
A. PONDICHERRY INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES, PUDUCHERRY: For students opting for a degree in clinical branches through government quota the fees is INR 759000 and INR 2277000 through management quota. For degrees in non-clinical branches is INR 622000 for the government quota and INR 1244000 for the management quota.
B. SRI MANAKULA VINAYAGAR COLLEGE& HOSPITAL, PUDUCHERRY: Students selecting clinical specializations under the government quota will be charged INR 759,000, whereas the management quota fee for the same is INR 2,277,000. In non-clinical fields, the government quota fee is INR 622,000, while the management quota fee stands at INR 1,244,000.
C. SRI VENKATESHWARA MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL, PUDUCHERRY: The fee structure varies based on the quota and branch chosen. Clinical branch aspirants opting for the government quota will pay INR 759,000, while the management quota fee escalates to INR 2,277,000. Similarly, non-clinical programs cost INR 622,000 and INR 1,244,000 under the government and management quotas, respectively.
For PG Dental courses, following is the fee structure:
At Mahe Institute of Dental Sciences, Mahe students entering post graduation programms in clinical and para clinical branches face distinct fee classifications. For post-graduation in clinical branches students are charged INR 622000 through government quota and INR 1400000 through management quota. Students for para clinical branches will have to pay INR 553000 and INR 719000 respectively for government and management quotas respectively.

For MBBS course following are the details :
1. PONDICHERRY INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES, PUDUCHERRY: This college gives admission through various quota which includes Government , management and NRI quota . For students seeking admission through government quota will be charged INR 380000, through managemnet quota INR 1600000 and through INR quota INR 2000000.
2. SRI MANAKULA VINAYAGAR MEDICAL COLLEGE & HOSPITAL, PUDUCHERRY: This educational institution provides admission opportunities through the Government, Management, and NRI quotas. As per the fee structure, students under the Government quota will be charged INR 380,000, whereas those in the Management and NRI quotas will pay INR 1,600,000 and INR 2,000,000, respectively.
3. SRI VENKATESHWARA MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL, PUDUCHERRY : The college offers admission options via the Government, Management, and NRI quotas. For Government quota applicants, the fee is INR 329000, while those under the Management and NRI quotas will pay INR 1,600,000 and INR 2,000,000, respectively.
For B.Sc (Nursing) the fee has been fixed 42,000 regardless of any quota . The list of the colleges under the Fee Committee are mentioned below :
