Kurnool: Taking cognisance of a recent incident where an invigilator allegedly took a photo of a question paper during an exam, the administration of Kurnool Medical College has initiated action against the concerned invigilator.

Presently, the invigilator Dr. Chakrapani Yadav has been kept aside from the examination duty. Meanwhile, a three-member committee has been set up to investigate the issue. After looking into the matter, the Committee will submit a report in this regard to the higher authorities.

The incident allegedly happened during an exam being held on in the medical college of Kurnool district. During the examination, the invigilator allegedly was caught red-handed taking a photograph of the MBBS Anatomy II question paper, by the examinees, adds ANI.

Following this, the students lodged a complaint against the invigilator, identified as Dr. Chakrapani Yadav, with the college authorities. The Chief Observer of the medical college said Chakrapani gave evading answers.

Taking note of the issue, the college administration has now ordered a probe into the matter and the panel had been directed to finish its investigation by Saturday.

As per the latest media report by Deccan Chronicle, Dr. Yadav is an assistant professor in the Microbiology Department and he was an invigilator for the ongoing supplementary examinations of first and second-year MBBS students.

Referring to the matter, the vice-principal of the medical college Dr. Sai Sudhir told the daily that immediately the concerned invigilator has been removed from the examination duty.

Director of Medical Education Dr. D. Narasimham has ordered a probe in this regard and directed a three-member committee of the medical college to conduct the investigation. After the investigation, the committee will submit a detailed report in this regard within Saturday. On the basis of the report, action shall be taken.

Sources informed the daily that a similar incident happened in the previous day's examination as well the committee will also check the details of the same.
